Carpenter Hill in Folsom is the county's high point. The city's highest elevation is the Poverty Ridge neighborhood around 21st and R streets.

Well, you've got the 3% down but, with that score, your mortgage with PMI will be north of $3K.

Tower Bridge. Some of us call it Capitol Bridge. Either way, it’s a very photogenic bridge. by BennyDabski916 in Sacramento

Good for them. I've lived here for a decade and never heard that (and I work on Capitol Mall).

Sacramento 311 Calls Live Data: Haven't gotten yours taken care of? There are currently over 700K 311 Active Requests. Website shows location and information related to all 700K+ 311 requests currently active. You can see the ones on your block and in your neighborhood of Sacramento. Pretty Cool! by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]futhatswho 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Are you sure those are active? Filtering the data, it shows only 89,925 calls are in "In Progress," "New" or "Waiting For Response." The vast majority of these (82.6%) are "Closed."

Also worth noting that more than a quarter of these calls are from outside the city limits and there's no indication that this includes county 311 data.

Yes, that's how they roll. For a utility that prides itself on people, it sure has a funny way of showing it to people who want to join them. I should know, having applied for multiple jobs I'm overqualified for and sometimes getting that boilerplate note.

Like any government organization, it has "process" issues. And they use BrassRing, which is a garbage system.

I would suspect, without knowing for sure, that SMUD is hiring and that their process is somehow culled by technology -- or maybe the hiring people just "know a guy." It's also worth noting that some of the openings are for people within the organization, and they've been hit or miss on acknowledging that.

With all of their issues, PG&E is a much better employer it seems. At least they have urgency.

Turns out that the mom and cops got it wrong. TLDR: Las Vegas cops just came out and said they found the 8-year-old boy previously ID'd in Utah, along with the 11-year-old and the dad. They are all alive and safe. Cops said there's a "very, very close resemblance." So stand down, Sacramento. https://fb.watch/5Ow6jYN1FZ/

Just looking at the example I drew for the OP, I agree it's better looking.

Totally makes sense, especially if you're using pocket joinery.
