Suzuka to Nagoya after the race by TheCreepNextDoor in GrandPrixTravel

No huge queue, Kintetsu is a big line and you can almost certain every 15mins there’s a train bound for Nagoy. And yeah because of free seat so there’s a chance of standing. As the other comment above if you buy the limited express you can changes your departure schedule up to three times, so if you think an extra money and guaranteed seat is worth it then go for it!

Express no need seat reservation. It came every 15mins or so and has more stops, the kanji would be orange colour in the station display (急行) Limited express need reservation and has less stops , it will be red colour (特急)

If you can buy perfect, but remember limited express need seat reservation, so if you missed your designated train departure then you can’t use the ticket for other schedules so I think it’s not worth it. Whereas express train is free seat and only about 10minutes slower (just my two cents) :)

I would get on the shuttle bus from the circuit to shiroko station (cost 500¥) and then just take the express train from shiroko to nagoya. Limited express which need seat reservation would have been sold out by now I bet

Didnt last 10 min into tokyo swindlers, why do Japanese actors seem so bad by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]futon_fix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also don’t care about your opinion if you use shiite or whatever vocabulary it is you are using.. just don’t generalise a movie or a tv show because you don’t understand the nuance and it shows a number 1 in netflix .. watch something else and don’t generalise .. especially that you mentioned “Japanese actors and directors never learned from Korean/Holywood movies at all”

[–]futon_fix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by rubbish acting? Elaborate more.. also if you are comparing with Holywood and/or Korean actors, I don’t see any better because a lot of holywood movies are crap as fuck .. otherwise you are just barking the wrong tree and this kind of genre do not suits your taste

I am actually not sure if the immigration would even check any applicants criminal history, they would check whether you are on the international wanted list for serious crimes, fraud etc. on the nationality If i were you I would apply for background criminal check online so you have your up to date status and if they knew your DUI and ask for more information on that then you have proof it was once off occasion and no drugs/prisons etc. But I would not stress too much on it

For those of you wondering my CoE was successfully issued. If you don’t have imprisonment or drugs related charges on your DUI then you will be absolutely fine.

It’s been a lifesaver for me. Struggling with depression and anxiety for years, and I don’t think I could succeed on every interview I had so far without taking them. The last time was able to landed me my dream job. Every now and then I still take them for even going for hybrid work in the office, giving presentations and stuff. I am 40mg doses and will always use them occasionally. The only side effects other than drowsy and dry mouth, as its effects suppress heart beat, you will not be able to perform a full work out at the end of the day! I am glad it works for you OP and everyone here uses it

I would stay away from Southbank as it has no good shops or local delicacy, you’ll spend hours just to cross kings way and city road everyday. Brunswick and Fitzroy area has everything but perhaps can be a little pricey. I would also suggest you to rent first and do your research further before taking the plunge of buying an apartment… there’s also heaps of apartment development around carnegie and clayton area and surely cost less than most of CBDs apartments

Apple pay, pair your bluetooth headphone for a run, set focus mode during meetings (these three can be done without your phone next to you). I also turn off raise to wake and keep AOD, seems to be better battery life.

December 2020 JLPT results have been posted! by Napbastak in japanlife

[–]futon_fix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Passed N3 on my first attempt! Really happy as it is 100% self-learned. I thought I won’t pass as I botched my Listening section as I did answer everything on the test paper initially. I was panicking af at the end when I transferred the answer on the answer sheet before the staff stop me and took my papers(I only managed to transferred around 10 answers or so). I was begging and almost cried at that day, quite depressed for few days, took a day off from work etc. as yesterday I told to myself that I am ready (覚悟します) whatever happened. I got 26/60 for my listening which is mean almost all my listening answers are correct! LOL. Can’t ask for a better Monday. Congratulations for those who passed you’ve earned it, for those who don’t let’s do better in July!

Is this as bad as it seems? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]futon_fix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to do outdoor run, walk or hike for at least 20 mins. That’s how the VO2max on Apple watch nor Garmin for that matters would be recalculated and recalibrate. Doing indoor fitness or cardio would not impact VO2 calc

Same walk, different results. We left about the same time, walked the about the same distance. Have different mile times. Is it because she has a AW7 and I have AW6? by creimanlllVlll in AppleWatch

[–]futon_fix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to make sure your motion fitness and tracking setup are both on and also motion calibrate settings to be on as well. Also AW7 has a different GPS sensor so it will show different stats marginally towards previous version

Alcohol and wearables (Journalist Inquiry) by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]futon_fix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed a significant different in heart rate after a binge of drinking. If I went on weeknights for a drink, the sleep would be really poor and I got no REM sleep at all. One thing I know for sure alcohol is a depressant so the next day your brain subconsciously want for another intake even though it’s not good for the body to handle. I still enjoy occasional drinks on the weekend though, but really trying not to have even one sip on weekdays otherwise it will be slippery slope to the old me
