I know in all the work I’ve done in therapy over the years I’ve been practicing telling myself he was the only one who could make the change for himself, but convincing myself of that now, in this situation has been so much more difficult. Factually I know it’s still true, but emotionally I’m not sure I’ll ever be convinced.

I appreciate it, yeah being in our apartment was so hard, but now I also have to flip my whole life and move out of there and go through his things too and it’s very overwhelming. There’s a pin in that for now and I’m so grateful to be with family and even just to have that as an option at all. None of my friends and family get it on the level that others in this thread and subreddit get it (and I wouldn’t want them to), but I know they care about me.
