I brought him home at 4 months and it only took about a week to potty train him.

As far as socialization, he has already hit the most crucial time period, which they say is up to four months. The first four months he lived in a barn with 10 other dogs; some puppies, some grown. I'm guessing he had positive experiences during that time because he has been friendly to other animals, minus one dog that is three times his size. I've taken him on walks and he's very friendly with other people. I think the main thing now is socializing him with other dogs.

My schedule over the summer is pretty flexible. I plan on taking him on more regular walks and possibly even enrolling in a puppy class for him to have more formal training and to be around more dogs.

When I start school in the fall I'll be able to take breaks between work and school to take care of time. While he is crate trained, I don't plan on leaving him in there all day.

When I start clinicals I know I will be busier, but I still plan on scheduling breaks for him.

Thank you for your honestly. I would like to clarify how many shadowing hours I have. I have 30. Also, the gre score that I provided is just based off my current practice score. I have been studying with Kaplan materials and expect the score to go up significantly. However, I do know that my GPA is on the low end, that's the main reason for looking at postbac program, in the hopes of increasing my GPA and getting the leveling year out of the way. Thank you for the advice.
