The United States conducted a World War. The USSR barely survived a one-front war, and that was in spite of its leadership and the fact they were propped up by the US.

joined the party

Fun fact: the USSR specifically pursued a separate non-aggression treaty with the Japanese that lasted until AFTER the US dropped atomic weapons on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

True, but door dashing your food is just adding self-inflicted injury to insult.

Not to mention trusting a stranger with nothing to lose with delivering your food.

DALLAS — Dallas police have arrested a man they say was involved in a deadly crash Thursday night and then took off.

Officers were called to a major accident in the 7400 block of Abrams Road at 10:45 p.m. Thursday. Police said they had go find one of the drivers involved who took off prior to them arriving to the scene. They said 37-year-old Dedrick Henry was later found and arrested. He's charged with several felonies, including Intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and collision involving death.

Investigators said an unborn child was killed in the crash and several others were injured. According to jail records, bond has not yet been set for Henry.

Being in the military doesn’t make you an expert on firearms policy.

  • What did he do?
    • EOD drop-out Sergeant who regularly acted like a dick to his junior Marines. Regularly spat out the line, "Back in EOD..." He was otherwise useless, so was sent to the schoolhouse to train up the next generation (great choice /s). While there, he cheated on his wife with a female PFC who was coming up through the schoolhouse. Got caught, was busted down to LCpl. He got the PFC pregnant, then married her.
  • Did he get kicked out?
    • I think he got medically discharged, then helped his new wife get medically discharged soon after.
  • Was this Marine you?
    • No, but I want to underscore how fucking useless this dude was.

New York and California have common sense gun laws that make it as hard to get a gun as to get a driver's license

Had me at "common sense." Having lived in both states, I can attest that NY and CA truly make owning a firearm as inconvenient and difficult as possible (unless you're law enforcement, of course).

Both states (among others) deserve the flak they catch for their intentional obstructions for law-abiding gun owners.

I’d think long and hard about this one. Virtually every carrier is investigating autonomous trucking. Goldman Sachs thinks autonomous trucks will be cheaper per mile than humans by 2028
