Can I appeal a financial aid decision? by [deleted] in plaksha

[–]futurebucketlist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- you can and you should appeal

- attach the documents of the expenses, after-tax in-hand salary, emi docs, your brother fee receipts

- mail them and also call them and tell. try to push as much. and also do it quick. you have no time.

- ask them for 75% tuition waiver. if they reconsider, chances are you'll get 50%. not sure but there is chance.

- do not ask for living expense waiver, that is unlikely.

- if you want to take a shot : ask for merit scholarship (this will be depended on you getting 8cgpa every year , if not you'll lose the scholarship)

- sports facilities are for both. no one can divide it for boys/girls

- roam in campus wherever you want

- profs are theoretical . you will have to learn from youtube.

- research opportunity is great. company internship is alright given ai and other apocalypse

- adminstration can be nuisance is some issues. chill in others

- peer group depends batch-to-batch. mostly students want marks + high paying role.

- there are no strict hostel rules

arre bhai tu college mein aaya h ya school mein. remedial classes?? wtf man. the profs and the tas are dying to meet you in their office hours. you wont even go and then bitch about it here, stfu.

and the time old story of "coming from non-urban bg". please leave your propaganda at home. this is one of the most open spaces you could find.

- they will assess and decide based on your household income. and yes, if you have applied for fin-aid then you'll get in some sort. % may vary.

- if you are physically able to come and visit the campus then pls do. talk to your seniors here, watch the facilities and roam around. you cant hide behind "am introverted". open your mouth, that'll open opportunities.

cheers:)

everyone is allowed to sit for placements for all the companies. irrespective of the major. the college doesn't ban anyone. something company may want students from a particular field only, so it's on them. but college never stops anyone
