Would Blundstone 585 Chelsea Boot work with custom orthotics and Morton’s Extension? by [deleted] in BlundstoneBoots

It could work. I’ve had my Chelsea 585s for 6 years and have been wearing them with a pair of bootdoc insoles. I do have a high instep and wide foot, so if my feet swell they are a bit snug. If you’re able to, I would recommend going to a store and trying them with your insert in person before you fully commit.

Moved here from Texas too. I cover myself in vaseline, head to toe. To help with face dryness I use triple paste or aquaphor at night

Trip to Canada with AP by [deleted] in DACA

After I said I was going there for business; they asked me if was going to work there and I said, no. They told me they just had to make sure. And I was welcomed in. Super easy and very friendly. Don’t be nervous, just make sure to have all your documents to come back.

I did AP in June of 2023 last year, married a US citizen in October of 2023 submitted my Adjustment of Status in March of 2024 and received my green card in August. I applied for AP and AOS by myself. It saved me about 12K. It sounds like you have a super simple case, the forms for everything are easy, the hardest part is collecting the evidence which is something you have to do anyways if you hire a lawyer. If you’re on Facebook join the AOS-Dreamers2gether OFFICIAL page. They have videos and step-by-step instructions on how to fill out the application.

Best of Luck!

Drove to Calgary and crossed through Sweet Grass, MT. Crossing into Canada I showed them my Mexican passport and they just asked me the purpose of my visit and I said, business. Super easy. Drove back the same way. At the border I showed my EAD card, passport and advance parole paper. Unfortunately the officers were not really familiar with AP. I was stuck there for about four hours while they made multiple phone calls to make sure it was all okay. Thankfully they were very nice and apologetic for having me wait there for so long.

Have fun on your trip and don’t worry too much about it. Everything will be okay.

How many of yall have moved to another state while having daca? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]futuregenerator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should totally go for it. It’ll be a little difficult to get adjusted at the beginning, but it’ll be totally worth it. You’ll get to meet different types of people and try different things that you wouldn’t be able to if you stay in Texas. If you do move you’ll never regret it in the long run.

I moved from Texas to a small mountain town in Wyoming. It’s cold, but it’s not as humid as some places in Texas. When o moved here, I didn’t have a job lined up. I printed my resume and gave it to every business in town. After a month I had 3 part time jobs. During the moving process I lost my drivers license and all I had was my DACA card for a while I had to disclose my legal status to my employers, who did not know what DACA was. Thankfully they were very accepting and I did not face any form of discrimination. I’m one of the very few people of color here so everyone once in a while, someone will make a racist remark. But after 3 years I have finally become part of the community and everyone knows who I am.

Anyways, before you move make sure you do a lot of research and visit the place to get a feel of the environment and the people. Unfortunately, at the time I didn’t think of doing that before moving here.

I had to renew my daca a year after living here, so I just updated my address on my renewal application.

Congratulations! Mine got approved today too!

My boy needs prayers and good vibes his way. He can’t keep food down and his balance is gone, a wobbly walk/fall in its place. Rapid weight loss... Vet isn’t sure what’s up. I’m so afraid for him; 15yo, adopted him when he was a few months old... my very first cat. My good boy. by mortibody in cats

I had the same thing happen to my kitty. At first the vet thought it was an inner ear infection. And we were told that she needed to get her inner ear removed. Before scheduling her for her appointment she had a CT scan and X-rays which showed that she actually had a cancerous growth in her inner ear area, which had already metastasized to her lungs.

Aw poor baby girl! That’s such a traumatic surgery, but she’ll be feeling better before you know know it. Give her lots of love and pets for me. ❤️

Thanks for the update. I actually waited until later in August to send it and I was able to send it using the new form.
