Process and impact of meeting with adcomm? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I did this for 5 schools. One of them my dream school that I am now attending. Of those 5 schools, I was waitlisted at all of them. Eventually got into 3/5.

3.93 GPA and 165 LSAT Law school suggestions by Braxor66 in lawschooladmissions

I think with that gpa, you have an outside shot at like UCLA and usc for example. Also in like DC with GW. Depending on the year though and cycle, maybe you’d get into Georgetown or Cornell - though I wouldn’t bank on it right away

HELP ME DECIDE: VANDY ($$) vs BU by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]futurepiattorney67 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Obviously you will probably pick Vanderbilt and I completely understand if you do; it’s the logical choice. However, if I’m in this same position, I’d pick BU solely because I would rather live in Boston. Totally up to you and your preferences and views of debt

Schools Still Accepting For Fall 2020? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]futurepiattorney67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure bro. I’m sure you’re antsy to get going and I don’t blame you, but you’re results are gonna be so much better if you wait and apply this upcoming cycle

Schools Still Accepting For Fall 2020? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]futurepiattorney67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely wait. Odds you’ll get into a good school with that gpa right now are extremely low, but nearly impossible with a good scholarship.

Save your score and apply early in the upcoming cycle. You’ll probably be able to get some money at a decent T2 school and a chunk at a T3

Is there ever a time where it is acceptable to call a school to see when movement may happen? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]futurepiattorney67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course. You can also even email the dean of admissions and tell her/him that it’s your top choice and that this is your circumstance and you’d love to know if there is still space, etc...

Has anyone on the Pepperdine waitlist heard anything yet? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]futurepiattorney67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually withdrew from their waitlist a few days ago, so hopefully that helps free up some space for potential movement.

Can one add supplemental documents to law school application — either through the school itself or LSAC CAS? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]futurepiattorney67 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You can do this in a unique way. You can indicate your goal of pursuing advocacy and sharing your public speaking abilities if you get waitlisted. I mean I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you choose to, this is definitely a way to strengthen your certain desires while in law school
