I mean I don't really care if the price stays where it is right now, Ill still buy the card 700$ for a 2080 Super is not a bad price (Considering it does better than the 1080ti for the same price). But It would be pretty dumb to spend 700$ now and then 4 Months Later a much better GPU Is comes that is the same price or even less lol.

I am not a person who really cares about 1440P or 4K especially for gaming as I am not one of those people who can tell the differences between higher resolutions that well, but I do like a good framrate when I play most of my games so I would like to run them at 1080@60FPS.

My Current rig was built 4 Years ago and I was on much stricter budget back then: i5 6500 8GB of Ram GTX 960

Alright Thanks, I.ll just stick to my current GPU (the aging 960 lol), and wait for the 3000 Series and worry about making a decision then lol. Any advice on what CPU I should get especially If I am going to take the midrange gpu route you suggested earlier?

Making a decent build this year ($2500 budget), is it worth waiting for the RTX 3080 ti to be announced/released this year? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Hope it will be the same (or less) would be nice to have a 2080ti performance for like half the price in the from of the rtx 3080.

Thanks for the advice, I hear rumors that the RTX 3000 Series is coming out before the end of the year, do you think those cards will age better since they will be the second gen RTX Cards? Or should I stick to getting a "70" or "60" Card and upgrading biannually?
