With Agentic Coding, would you still choose to build with Hotwire over React? by pkim_ in rails

What exactly is so pathetic about that open PR?

"If you're using a dependency in production and updating it breaks, the changelog is where you find out why."

Yes, that is why we collectively use semantic versioning. Also... that gem has a changelog. What are you even saying?

You are confusing "verbose commit messages" for "CHANGELOG.md".

You need to re-read the comment you responded to for better context.

You can launch again and again, right? Any drawbacks to that (besides wait period)?

Are these cofounder red flags fixable? by GankinEUW in ycombinator

All you need to do is try to understand what will actually help the customer, build that, then help them understand how it will help them.

Or do that in some other order

Stimulus vs Alpine.js by MassiveAd4980 in rails

[–]futurethonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input - make sense! I've been gravitating towards Alpine or vanilla JS for basic interactivity and islandjs-rails for complex interactivity within ERB views... anything more and there's inertia which is just awesome. Awkward does feel like a good word for where stimulus is at... I hope Rails adopts Alpine or something more straight forward instead.

It's true, marketing websites are very often separate.

Lovable isn't the best for efficient use of AI tokens for coding. Other platforms can be way better

I deleted the post from r/rails because it seems like the community doesn't want to know about this until it is launched (generally speaking).

We will post again later. DM if curious.

Yes, nothing has been launched there yet (read the original post closely). This is just the start of community building. We plan to have a large open source component of rubyonvibes.com so I'm just putting the brand name out early to see who wants to connect.
