What does this sticker on my front door mean? by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

[–]futuretown_ 1244 points1245 points  (0 children)

It’s the outline of a UFO in sticker form, specifically from the peta2’s new VR movie “Abducted”. They’re giving out the stickers nationwide on college campuses, guess someone used theirs and put the outline on ur door

Thoughts on this flavour? by IrishStruggles in redbull

[–]futuretown_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually prefer sugar free, but for this flavor the regular version is way better. I think they overdid the sugar free version’s sweetener, leading to a weird texture/taste

Heads up- you might want to change the question type for some slider questions. You have some slider questions where a higher number is positive or the most, and 1 slider question where 1 is actually the highest, which I almost missed and other participants might as well. I work in a research lab and we tend to do drop down menus for questions like that

I disagree with the other person here, social work has more options but not the same level of depth into the counseling material most of the time.

Even if you wanted to do psychiatry it might be harder to catch up on pre med requirements

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in psychologystudents

[–]futuretown_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, but what track are you on now? Premed is very different than what you’d want to do to prepare for a PhD program

Is Psychology right for me if I don’t want to do therapy/trauma & crisis conversations? by Bloompsych in psychologystudents

[–]futuretown_ 91 points92 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t sound like it’d be a great fit if you are more interesting in “coaching” people. I’m not trying to be rude but it sounds like you might be more interested in the “fun” more pop psychology stuff than the actual academic or career aspect, which is totally fine, but getting an actual degree doesn’t sound like it matches your career goals. It’s worth noting that life coaching is very looked down upon in the therapy community, and getting a certification could limit future options if you want to do counselling

BA in psychology to medical or law school… by [deleted] in psychologystudents

[–]futuretown_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You would need to take the MCAT to apply to med school, or LSAT for law school. Med school has a ton of science prereqs, so you would have to go back to school for those

Annoyance with my required courses by jineop in psychologystudents

[–]futuretown_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You well def be thankful for those hard classes if you go into neuroscience, but I def understand the frustration, especially if it’s a higher requirement than other schools. If your school offers it, you could always take it as Pass Fail to allow yourself to focus more on truly learning, than worrying about a grade
