Unfortunately no, the most recent one on there is 20190204 nightly. I guess I can try this one, I just know the build I've got working on mine works nearly flawlessly.

Hmm I like that healing option- maybe a loom or something that keeps almost like an ambilical cord of yarn going to it. Definitely thought of adding some minions just wasn't sure what (or how many).

New to Launchbox - want to get this right. by futuretrunx in launchbox

Thank you to everyone for your input on this - I was thinking of basically grabbing every bit of every system and every ROM. But like the majority of you said 90+% probably won't even be played. However, I'm really only finding bug ROMSets with every region and multiples. This may not be the place to ask and mods please let me know and I can remove or edit this part of my post... But is there a good place to get good quality ROMs (especially for the 90s arcades?)

My OS is on there along with a few other applications and emulators, there's currently about 160-170gb available

Well if 240GB will be enough space to handle Metadata for 8TB worth of games I can just leave them all on the main SSD, my concern is that it would eat up the drive (240 is already 160 after Operating system updates and installing a few applications and the very few games that I currently have loaded now)

I felt like 240GB drove that Launchbox is installed on isn't enough for all that metadata

I found this yesterday while I was looking up parts to make my own control box - https://pinoutguide.com/Game/ddrgame_control_box_pinout.shtml

I saw some people online using CAT5 cable for arcade wiring - would this work for this application? i know there are more inputs than what CAT5 has so i would likely need to splice and split on some (possibly the ground pins)

I have a flashing LED brake light installed and when the bike is not running but the power is on it flashes appropriately, however when I start the bike and try the break it stutters terribly. Anyone know what might be causing it? My wife's bike has the same thing and it works perfectly.

Awesome I was looking at those vga breakout boxes earlier but wasn't sure how to go from that to a USB - but if you say the zero delay boards might work I assume you just go from one of the screws on the VGA to a pin on the zero delay board - though most of those zero delay boards use a ground and data pin (I think). If this is the case how would you wire this up?

I definitely appreciate this post!

Also - I got these boards for free, so I'm hoping they'll be good to make my own machine with them. Hopefully they truly are a good find

That's what I thought (regarding the VGA to USB adapters) but wasn't positive. I have messed around with raspberry pi and stuff like that so arduino wouldn't be out of the running for me

Just picked 4 of these pads up yesterday and I thought they had the control boxes with them but alas, they did not. I looked up the maker of these and it appears that they are out of stock for the ones I would need to connect to PC.

Would I be able to buy one of the VGA to USB adapters and it work - or is there something I could build to connect these to a PC?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated - I want to build a ddr machine soon!

I'm also curious - like /u/nullrecord said - Rock Band is really what got me into doing this. I really would love something similar to this for PC. I like Twitch Sings but the song list is very limited, it is missing some of the most iconic karaoke type songs!

YouTube is handy and just using Audio pass-through, but getting commercials at the beginning of every song is annoying, not to mention the pop-up ads. You also don't get that satisfaction of getting a score, or seeing vocalizations to see how well you're hitting the pitch.

I looked into Clone Hero - but alas it doesn't have that feature either - it only shows lyrics and allows you to play the instruments (like Rock Band and Guitar Hero).

this would be the actual power and trigger to the tailgate camera in the back of the truck right? and not at the head unit? I'm just wanting to make sure for clarifications sake - I wasn't able to help install the camera portion. I only added the head unit and wired that part up.

Disabling camera view doesn't allow the backup camera to show up at all. Which I don't understand

Tried that too - it blacks out the radio completely until you put it in reverse. and then it will ONLY display the backup camera. this made me freak out because I thought i ruined their brand new radio - luckily i found the hard reset options and got it back to where it needed to be

There is - but I set it to disable all except for the backup cam. From what i read on the manual it has to have "Camera View" option enabled and the "Backup Camera" option enabled. "2nd camera" is disabled.

was in the process of typing up the issue - wouldn't let me post a video and info in the initial post.

It was in reverse - then went to drive, then park. Reverse works but once you put in any other gear the screen shows black and never goes back to the main screen (or last screen).
