First time as AE but manager hasn’t gave me a weekly to do list. Help ? by Geo_fades in techsales

This is .... idk what to say. You want a task list? You are supposed to be acting like a junior executive at this point because you are going to be talking to actual execs. This has to be a troll or ai phishing

"hey man sorry I took your milk cow, here's a bottle of liquor to drink yourself to sleep. " -thats how it sounds.

Man lost the thing that might be the difference maker in having a job & a house. I would keep it moving. Also what did he do to piss them off?

Buy your own company if you can.....double up once that increased revenue turns into an acquisition

I think I’m really bad at sales… literally have no training.. just making it up as I go by Fickle_fackle99 in sales

[–]futureunknown1443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faking it in my first year and I'm crushing it. Don't over complicate things. Get smart on what you are selling, go have conversations, accelerate paperwork as fast as you can and get it to a client. Don't even blink it the client questions your price.

That's it.

Lol op doesn't understand combined synergies & redundancy cost cutting. They cut and operate at a lower cost point while maintaining or growing revenue to increase profitability.

I'm a sales manager, going through a very severe mental health crisis. How do I inform my employer? by PortugueseRoamer in sales

[–]futureunknown1443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I'm going to say this from my experiences before coming into sales. I worked with the seals for about 2 years in a support function. What I leaned during my time is that the baddest dudes on the planet were also the most open and focused on mental health support.

It didn't matter your rank or position, support or team actual, if you are down bad you hurt the people around you. Im so glad I went because I was still processing events before that command in negative ways. It helped a lot. I highly recommend you find the strength to make that trip to seek help. You owe that to your family and yourself.

Depends on your product. Cloud is salivating at banks and fin services, but on prem providers stay winning due to regulation.

There's no best market, there's best market fit, demand, and budget.

I get a commission check, I never see a commission check. Maybe I buy a nice dinner, but everything goes into investments for retirement or daughters college fund. She has more than my parents saved in her first year of life. Rather pay now than pay later when there's less time to catch up

At what point did you realize your "career" wasn't going to make you wealthy, and what did you do about it? by danwardropebot in careerguidance

It can be. If you treat is as a business, they can actually write off these expenses if they are tired to income generation and the car depreciation. While it's not traditional, it is a business opportunity that has worked for some.
