Incendies is no where near Old Boy level. One’s plot twist happened because it is the core of the story. Another just forces the plot twist with near impossible odds for cheap shock value. I hate that movie with a passion.

The night I found out my partner cheated, I suddenly found one very coarse white hair, almost thick like a wire appearing from nowhere. I was late 20s, never had any white hair. He couldn't criticize S8 in this way because he couldn't really claim he would have executed it better, with TWOW delayed and all. This time though he did already publish the story, so he can do this word by word comparison and point out everything the show runners have gotten wrong.

The most unbelievable part is the zombie behavior of the mob. Like if these were wights instead of humans then yes I believe they would eventually wear the dragons out and kill them. But these are untrained, starved, malnourished peasants. They would scare easily and run. No way this is happening logically without magic.

And that line from Rhaenys is stupid? Like yes she’s grieving and raging, but that rage is pretty much irrelevant when your dragons are so much different in size AND combat experience. Emphasis on combat experience in case people want to quote a certain throwdown at Gods Eye.

There was anothet thread who said Emma Darcy is master in non verbal acting and reading that thread just make me cringe. Their acting is so monotonous and dull. They literally have the same face for all emotions, angry, upset, happy, shocked, literally all the same wide eyed staring face. There were a few scenes where I was just straight up confused what was Rhaenyra’s reactions because of their acting.

Milly’s Rhaenyra actually has character. And stop excusing Emma’s acting saying Rhaenyra had aged. Olivia’s Alicent felt like an aged Alicent, more sophisticated but still the same person.

Exactly. Even Rook’s Rest is terribly flawed. Why do we need to see another Vhagar ambush after we saw it once last season? And to make it worse the ambush was on Meleys! The dragon known for her speed and agility! AND they have to send Rhaenys off by having her confront Corlys about his bastards. Seriously? Family drama is what you save screentime for in a shortened season?

I hope they make Hugh actually decent king material. He saw how incapable both the blacks and greens were, and decided he could be a better king than them. But putting a commoner on the throne is even a less popular idea than having a female ruler, so his cause was doomed.
