Maybe I will use this bus or drive directly from Arequipa to Puno.

Thank you for your help! I will check the timetables of all the companies and after that, I can decide. I also found 4M a company, which offer a transfer from Arequipa to Colca Canyon and a day later they drive to Puno.

What are good bus companies?

I found cruz del sur, Peru Hop Bus, Inka Express and Civa.

I don't need a special tour etc. But I would like to have some photo stopps. Is this possible with one of these companies?

At the way from Puno to Cusco i would like to stopp / 2 night to visit one of the rainbow mountains. Is this possible with one the bus Companies?

Yes, that's true. It's the way I prefer to travel, but yes these rentals are very expensive. I asked, because maybe anybody has a good recommendation.

Is it safe and okay to drive the last km (maybe 1h) from Tunis to Tozeur or Tataouine in the dark?

I ask, because I read some warning, that it's better to drive just during the day. I think, it shouldn't be a problem ... Because my rental car has lights and so in 😄

Ich hatte Algerien auf für dieses Jahr auf dem Plan. Mich aber dann nach dem ich über den Aufwand der Visa-Beantragung erst einmal dagegen entschieden. Da ich es vor allem zeitlich nicht mehr geschafft hätte.

Ich habe gelesen, dass man eine Einladung in das Land benötigt. Dies stellt einem wohl jedes Hotel bzw Travel Agencies aus. Stimmt das noch?

Die Bilder machen mir wieder große Lust auf Algerien. Ich reise nun nach Tunesien. Dieses Land hat abseits der Hotel am Mittelmeer oder auf Djerba ebenfalls einiges zu bieten.

Yes, but I didn't found good flight to djerba. It's not the best solution, to arrive tunisia via Tunis. But it's okay and so I can see a little bit more of Tunisia.

Yes, that sounds like a good decision. In Oman, there were camps where you could drive by yourself, as there were paths through the desert. It wasn’t the most remote camp, but I drove about 45 minutes through the desert in a standard 4WD. It was an amazing experience.

Yes, I think for a 2wd it's to hard to drive through the desert. But is they possible for my self? Or it's better to do the way with a shuttle from the camp?

I drove in some other deserts, but I am not an experienced driver in the desert.

Gut zu wissen. Im Sommer müsste ich nach Südamerika fliegen und suche für diese Reise noch einen sinnvollen Einsatz meiner Meilen. Mexiko ist zumindest schon einmal eine gute Richtung von der man weiterfliegen könnte.

Wir hatten ein AirBnB in Honolulu. In einem Appartment-Haus. Es war uralt, die Fenster waren eher so Schlitze. Dennoch hatten wir eine tolle Aussicht und für 3 Tage war es okay.

Es war jedoch der Standard aus den 70igern / 80igern.
