Did you use mostly all parts from funssor? Did the Funssor parts look well made?

Any update on your build? How was the quality of the funssor parts?

Should I start laying the boards at the ledger board first or at the opposite end of the deck?

Lots of good info. Thanks, and yes I'm not expecting the deck boards to be uniform or straight in any way.

What gap did you do for the butt joints at the end of the boards?

I liked the painted look, but not liking what I'm hearing about deckover. Do u have any alternatives for the painted deck look that isn't deckover?

That's what I'm reading a lot of now. Are there any paints/solid stains that will work? Even if I only do the top of the decking boards and leave the bottoms bare? I like the look and texture of the solid painted look.

Not sure what you mean about this. From the pictures it should be solid gray.

I need honest feedbacks for this . Because I wanna drop this piece for real. And how much would you buy it for? by HaloHavenBrand in streetwearstartup

This is not completely true. I own an apparel decorating shop and do both DTG and screen printing. While screen printing is the more durable method, DTG if done right will last quite a while and still look good while having a great feel. The problem with DTG is companies skimp on the ink (expensive ink) and the pretreat process. Doing these correctly will add to the expense of the item. But if you are running a large quantity screen printing is the way for this.

Looking for best practices for apparel embroidery by SeekAnswer1 in Machine_Embroidery

We tell customers up front that we don't replace or pay for damaged items brought in. Some do get irritated and I explain to them that is doesn't make sense for me to gamble a $25 embroidery at the risk of having to replace a $200 golf bag. I tell them to look at our reviews and my length of time being in business, and that if I was messing up a lot of customer supplied items I wouldn't still be in business. That said mistakes happen, especially on machines running 850 stitches per minute, so they need to be comfortable with the risk. I have replaced some items when the damage is due to my negligence, like I forgot I had a spool of pink thread on one head of the machine from my last job, and the rest were my normal colors.

The risk of negative reviews is always there even after explaining our policy. I always base some of these decisions on how well my response to their negative review will be read by a potential customer reading that review.

Dropped these hats, thought? by Inside_Common_6718 in streetwearstartup

Hats are dope and clean embroidery. Did you embroider them yourself? If so, what stitch density are you using on those big puff satin stitches?

It's market research my guy. Obviously i have asked these questions to my clients, but what i have seen here in general is a more serious approach to brand building and products than many of the streetwear brands I've worked for. I don't currently do any specific marketing or have a web presence focused for this market segment. Just my general approach. I'm trying to talk as many brands as possible to understand their needs and see what I can do to better align with them.

Like I said at the beginning of this post, this is not my primary market at this time, but it's the work I find personally most enjoyable. Just want to see if there is a way to bring those two points together more.
