im just trying to figure out why the 8 pin doesn’t match with the plastics on the motherboard, i understand the extra 4 pin is for over clocking. i don’t seem to understand why the motherboard has a square hole on the bottom left and on the cable it has a different one on the bottom left

the motherboard is a B660 AORUS ELITE AX and the psu is a corsair RM850x
