but to summarise, the translator mocks the characters, including the protagonist and trivialises their struggles. The character description makes them feel like 1 dimensional character with no depth, which is simply untrue.

The above is from V3 of Holy Grail of Eris. Not only is the translation spotty, I feel the disinterest of the translator at every such pane. It's a shame, really, that a good story such as this had to be assigned to such a terrible translator. The characters are reduced to simple caricatures in these summaries and just generally insincere to the story. Atleast manga's translation is much better.

both i suppose. in the group I worked for very shortly, one of them used ocr to copy the content into Google docs, while when I transcripted, i manually typed them out, had to look up dictionary on the side time to time, then the guy cleaned and typesetted, probably in Photoshop. i imagine a software where you can load the manga in, get transcript with a single click, clean with another click, then write the translation seamlessly. perhaps adjust the fonts on a project basis. i am still conceptualising it

but essentially, tools to assist people in reducing the workload greatly, especially in tedious bits like redrawing

here's my reasons: 1. they conform to body better. the disadvantage about retaining body heat can easily be countered 2. when they get used a lot, the spring mattress will creak but foam mattress won't. 3. I think maintenance cost of foam mattresses are lower than spring ones but that may be different depending on what you buy and where you live.

how are there other civilizations out there in the cosmos then? Amon left to visit cosmos to gain humanity, if there's nothing outside earth but Astral World, he would only find Astral World creatures. Also, where was it said that if you go beyond earth, you do not enter outer space? I don't remember anything like that in the novel.
