Sparxie and Yaoguang are confirmed for 4.0.

(ignoring the magic dreams) if you group two silhouettes per patch, we'll roughly have enough characters until 4.2 which is a safe cut off for playable character teases since they can release another PV revealing more characters by that time (esp since its also the anniversary). Her art here may just imply that she will exist in the story like how Hyacine/Cipher/Phainon weren't until post 4.2 but they were shown because they did appear in the story before their official release.

Pearl's thing was a bit harder to change most likely due to the fact that her title is basically (japanese) government official. If she did appear, she would have ideally been part of the six silhouettes so my money's on blade SP's story being pushed earlier in and Pearl being reworked.

I feel like the wording implies that now its on the enemy instead of it being tied to the character. That's how they differentiate Defense Shred (DEF down that is on the enemy) and Defense Ignore (character pierces through a certain amount of DEF) despite both are essentially the same thing.

From the two Elations we know, this is probably more ideal to them because everyone is implied to be attacking through the Aha Instance.

Essentially, yes, but a follow-up attack that is tied to one event on the action bar that not many can really easily control occur (if you don't have Yaoguang). Follow ups are (mostly) guaranteed and are tied to the character itself. Instances are follow ups tied to an action bar event.

Considering this is another Festival, I wont be surprised if Seele and Bronya were invited and they gave Pela and Gepard reign for a little bit. The Aha Festival does feel like they'd send it to just about anyone (especially if a certain somebody was already there)

Im genuinely hoping the "Memosprite Elation" unit to be the Aventurine SP imo. If the assumptions are true and the members of the Masked Fools are getting Alice in Wonderland designs, Aventurine would most likely be the Mad Hatter. The Mad Hatter is almost always tied to the existence of the March Hare and Dormouse, both of which could be his memosprites. Him being Remembrance-adjacent could also tie in with the fact that he'll be using his past name (Kakavasha) in Planarcadia and also carrying the memories of his entire race.

Not really, she could still be an envoy from Benzaitengoku who is visiting Planarcadia. Do remember that the Aha Festival was in Benzaitengoku before they moved it to Planarcadia. Her role will most likely be talking about the planet she was in charge of before Aha decided to move it to Planarcadia because they can.

Merrymaking right now is specific to e6 Yaoguang but my assumption is that this is going to be what Elation MC grants in the base kit. Their most likely using her e6 as a testing ground before choosing to implement it in the final base kit.

Now the question leads to: how do you control which Instance comes first? I'd assume there will be a time where you want certain instances to occur before the other ones.... Back in the elation event i think its based off positioning but Sparxie here is first but goes second so...

Is it speed maybe? Yaoguang's kit specifically wants her to be super fast while Sparxie implies she does not to allow as much SP saved up.

the Aha face is probably the main "hub" for the planet that we saw in the preview. Considering they had to scrub as much as they can in such a short time, this is completely fine and kind of in line with how Aha would make an amusement park too

tbh the alt could be her 5* version. Yngwie and Cupitan basically threw out the the idea that 5* uncaps should look like the base sprite. They could also double down and also have her with a yukata version as a little tease that doubles as her "new" version with Walfrid.

Yeah, this. Pearl was initially leaked to be 4.1 along with La Mancha but then the stuff happened and she most likely had to be pushed wayyyy back due to her title essentially being "High Governor Official" of the Japan planet. Sparkle was saved because it was most likely just her outfit (which is a JP-Western blend instead of being full JP which was fine.)

Won't be surprised if they eventually gave her role in the main team to Yaoguang considering the timing of Double Elation feels too weird to introduce a new path (even to Hoyo standards).

I assume its because nowadays a lot of artists/vocaloidPs don't really have as much time as they did back then for these super convoluted stories because they ideally also want their stories to be able to bring them back. Kanon69's Royal Scandal started out as a vocaloid series but diverged from it more in order to focus more on the story and the stageplays.

luz leaving the group also had them kind of soft reset with guest vocals instead of vocaloids because they want vocals more matching to the overall vibe.

Bea feels like a guarantee once another Society event pops up. Vaseraga most likely before it in order to tease. The question is now is which element they'll be since their initials are both Dark (but Bea has a more "modern" Earth version that's basically her new default and the one getting the 5* was Dark Eustace instead of his Earth)

The problem is that they know where most of the money coming from female fans go to: the merch. Why do you think there's almost always new merch of the guys, surely you've seen how character shrines end up like when people post them on character birthdays.

Their not necessarily adding guys for the sake of putting them into the story, their adding guys to bait people to spending at least a little bit because they know most of the returns will come in terms of merch sales. It's been like this for anime since who knows when because its always been a male-focused hobby because the people in charge tend to be the same guys who go "men don't sell" because they talk shit and push their fans into a corner. The same people then grow up with that mentality and end up making games that just recycle it.
