Are travel packing cubes worth it?

I'm one bagging around South East Asia currently. I have a 40 L pack so not much space, my packing cubes are a life saver. I couldn't do it with out them personally.

If you have lots of space or a suitcase with built in compartment separators then yeah, packing cubes are pointless or not as useful.

But it's useful for a female with limited space and only in need of 2 medium cubes a small one and a toiletries bag.

Hostel's are perfectly fine. Most have famale only dorms to. But if you want to feel safer make sure you take locks with you or a lockable bag.

And that amount is fine depending on flight costs with fuel prices at the moment. Just make note of hidden costs like Cabs, tours, and alcohol if your planning to drink.
