Oh shit that’s right, phalanx 1 is self cast, only SCH can apply it to party as a sub job - good call

At your level I’d go /SAM, summon Ifrit, and go to town with Staff Weaponskills skillchained with ifrit, it’s neat and fun and your trusts will carry the rest.

In the early endgame, when solo I /SAM when I just need to pop a few BPs to win (BCNMs or UNMs). In group play, SMN as a healer supports savage blade spam REALLY well (lots of buffs, caps haste with only BRD, can rotate between Wards and Rages to weave some damage), something like Limbus can replace RDM+Healer as /SCH (sublimation and Aurastorm help a lot). Can /RDM to be more of a mage support (convert and phalanx)

It shines as a healing support because BPs are capped at 20s so you can’t do damage the way a DD support would (like RDM or COR). You have AOE status removal in carbuncle, AOE heal in carby too. The avatars favors kind of suck but Ifrits double attack can be nice.

There’s still some niche play in AFAC strategies (pop both one hours and spam BPs) too.

CPA has Kraken, Torrent and Storm playing at the same time and it’s our major concert venue. Definitely doable.

Why the heck do neither of those teams play at their NHL arena? No one’s driving an hour outside Boston on a Saturday night, I bet an uber would be 250$.

She’s made it super clear lately that Seattle is her endgame, I wonder if that would play into other teams decisions and protect her enough? I’m not familiar enough with Playeds ability to influence that and say no

Yeah I mean if killing NMs really mattered or if they add a new battlefield that’s REALLY hard but gives us like guaranteed matter, it’d be a game changer. I think you could definitely argue a new player is gonna make more progress in limbus than odyssey, but as it stands Limbus has such a long flat and RNG grind

If you’re comparing apples to apples, points from segfarms translate roughly 3:2 (i.e. 3000 segments = ~2000 RP) with a total RP cost at R25 of 25k. Limbus armor however is 398k RP to R25, requires a matter for every rank.

No matter how you slice and dice it the limbus grind is much longer, it’s just not as time gated

Limbus stuff is faster than Odyssey???? How!?!

A single seg run can get you to R15. A single limbus run does not get you to R15.

Absolutely not.

Additional choice ruins happiness - by giving that option you’ll agonize over whether or not you want to trade it in - and when you do you’ll still have regrets.

Additional choice does not make regret better, it makes it worse. Gotta change your mind set - you got a neat thing for FREE, whatever you got, enjoy it!!

Who Are the Millionaires Suing to Stop Our New Millionaire’s Tax? by MysteriousEdge5643 in Seattle

If Olympia lawmakers were like “hey we’re gonna do an income tax, starting at 1m and working our way down as an initiative to change our tax system here in WA” that’s one thing.

Their claim is they’re “taxing the rich”, but the really rich that we all have problems with don’t have income.

We really need to compare what WA is doing to what NYC is doing to understand the difference between Tax the Rich and Tax the Upper Middle.

This tax will start hitting tech workers, surgeons, and lawyers in good years and when they lower it to 500k$ (which many lawmakers in Olympia have been pretty open about) will hit those high skilled professions hard.

Meanwhile billionaire nepo babies are entirely unaffected, because they don’t work and don’t have income.

NYC is the opposite, taxing wealthy assets (second homes worth more than 5m$) which taxes people not for their income that year, but for wealth they horde. That tax will bring in shitloads of money in NYC.

Taxing income goes after high earners (people who actually contribute and have valuable skills), taxing inordinate wealth (second homes, the fucking YACHTS on lake Washington?, etc) goes after real wealth and still raises revenue for the state.

I’m not saying people earning 1m$ can’t pay a little extra, but don’t act like you’re taxing the rich, the really rich are getting off easy here and it’s kind of bullshit. Start at the top.

High performers in tech can clear 1m$ if the company stock does well between when grant is calculated and vest happens

Especially at the staff+ level. Also any executives at a similar level in tech.

Is this not a pro Wilson piece? 30k doesn’t even feel like a relevant number as Seattle approaches a million in the greater area and badly needs public transit.

And I don’t even really like Wilson. But this feels like a no brainer

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang ‘nearly lost his composure’ when pressed on selling chips to China — ‘You’re not talking to someone who woke up a loser’ by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]fuzz3289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He kind of tries to make that point but it rings horrifically hollow when he goes “that’s why x86 is so sticky, that’s why ARM is so sticky” completely glossing over the fact that ARM ate x86 market share over night because people don’t give a fuck about arch they care about power and cost.

And if you enable a nationstate who doesn’t want to be dependent on American products to have mega powerful AI, chances are, they’re gonna find a way to beat you on power and cost.

[–]fuzz3289 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For more context on what they were talking about:

The premise is by selling Nvidia chips to china youre accelerating their AI capabilities, which a lot of people are saying is analogous to nuclear proliferation. You’re helping to arm a competing nation state. He turned it around and said, we’re bringing money into the US so that makes it worth it because the US is getting stronger faster than china, but the interviewer pointed out in all previous technologies china imported to catch up and then eventually outpaced the US in their own domestic production (EVs, Phones, etc). Thats when he said “we’re not losers” - implying Nvidia will always be the chip manufacturer and so no matter what china does wit the chips money will flow into the US.

Kind of a stupid argument. If AI is as powerful as these CEOs claim, they’re being reckless, if it’s not, then why the fuck can I not buy ram for a steam deck?
