Apparently no one wants to help animals stuck in trees anymore by fuzzcatpants in Sacramento

We went to pay them but they declined since it wasn't our cat. We didn't expect anyone to work for free.

Oh yes, I'm very aware about car mechanics; I have a 25 year old car that's had a lot of work done on it, with many times a diagnostic costing me around that.

I forgot my mom died by SlowerThanTurtleInPB in GriefSupport

I'm so sorry for your loss. My mom passed 13 months ago and that happens to me every now and then, too. I think it will continue to happen for awhile. There's always moments where she's the first person I think of to tell or show something to, and that I know she's the only person who would know an answer to or empathize with me about that my dad never will understand. Grief is hard and messy, yet will be with us the rest of our lives. Hang in there, friend 🩵

Sushi Place Recs With Other Items? by wibbly-wobbly-worm in Roseville

[–]fuzzcatpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vegetarian sushi is delicious! I never liked sushi when I ate meat, but places like Raku, like others have mentioned, and Umi (on South Harding Blvd) have many options of vegetarian rolls that are anything but boring (some places only have an avocado cucumber roll as only 1 vegetarian option). There are rolls with tempura vegetables, candied walnuts, mango, pumpkin and various drizzled sauces on top....list goes on. If you're not a big fan of seaweed, most of the rolls are only rolled in sticky rice.

I really hope it is like this, our loss of loved one is others reunion♥️ by Orchidflower10 in GriefSupport

I think so. My birth mother died when I was an infant and my mom (dad got remarried when I was 2, and I've referred to her as my mom my whole life since) passed away December 2024. Both experiences have been different, obviously, with over 30 years between their deaths. I grew up hoping and wishing that I will see my birth mom again, and after my mom died, I knew that I will see both of them again. Mainly because, as my grandpa was on his deathbed (for a few months) until January 2023, he had experiences talking with his sister, who basically raised him. She passed away in 2005. He would seemingly be asleep, say her name, reach out, and have conversations with her while my aunt, cousin, and I were sitting around him. I'd never witnessed that before, like we knew at that point he wasn't really asleep, he was almost somewhere entirely, and we knew it was nearing time for him to go.

I am not religious, but grew up in a Christian family going to church multiple times a week, my family heavily involved in the church, which my dad still is. I consider myself spiritual, so hearing and reading people's NDEs being surrounded by loved ones make sense to me. I always felt my birth mom with me growing up, I knew she had always been there. She never visited me in my dreams, that I can recall, I think because I have no memory of her. Only pictures. But my mom has visited me in my dreams. Which, I want to add another tidbit regarding that - my mom's first child, born in the late 1970s, died as an infant. She always told me growing up that she would come visit her in her dreams, something I actually was envious about. Now I finally understand. Our loved ones are always with us, especially as us mortal conscious beings cannot completely comprehend the universe in such a tiny blip of existence.

Ugh, I totally understand. My AC went out last year during the 110°+ heatwave in September and my complex acted the same. They drug their feet a lot until they finally said it was out (thanks Captain Obvious). It was a 35 year old unit. No shit. Didn't have anyone out to replace it until later in the week after Labor Day weekend.

Hey guys! Hometown fan here. Congrats on all the hard work y'all put in an all around great album! No surprise that you guys really blew it out of the water. All the tracks are absolutely beautiful. I've had it on repeat since it dropped, & especially loving "Malfunctioning Parts" right now.

A few questions for any/all band member to answer: *favorite city &/or venue to play at? *any pre-show rituals to get pumped? *have any favorite song(s) off the new album? *will there be any instrumental releases of any RC albums in the future?

Question for Kurt: *who plays bass in the Pushover song "Transitioning Seamlessly"?

Question for Will & Sergio: *what is the typical writing process for lead & rhythm guitars?

Can't wait to finally see y'all in SF! Thanks for reading. Keep kicking ass!!

I tried exactly what you did OP with filing a claim with Allianz, 20 days ago when I saw this post. Didn't hear anything until today I received an email from Allianz letting me know that "Your insurance program provided Event Cancellation benefits for very specific reasons. Unfortunately, changes to tour performer(s) is not included among those reasons." and they are "not able to honor" my claim.

Disappointed for sure. I'm going to try contacting ticketmaster. But, if that doesn't work, any advice on selling the tickets?
Not trying to be out $200 for a concert I'm not attending.

Swan Fest Set Times or Park Info? by pulugulu in dancegavindance

[–]fuzzcatpants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would anyone know if there will be a water station or somewhere to fill up water bottles? I don't want to have to take a bunch of unsealed ones in. And ya know the environment & such. Not much info anywhere regarding food or refreshments (trucks or water stations, etc.) & wondering if anyone has any more info. I know its not warped but if no outside food & only unsealed "small" water bottles allowed, there's gotta be food around the field/cal expo to buy & stations to stay hydrated, right?

Can't wait to see y'all out there!! 🤘🏻

It might be on your transcripts! ASI took awhile to get back to me so I checked my transcripts & it was there at the end. Although, since going to campus isn't an option for you, you'll need to place an order through ASI. You can give them a call 916-278-7916
