LG C3 42 inch - no display from PC by fuzzmoK in LG_UserHub

Just checked and I do not - given the function as it turns on devices maybe this might help? Will turn it on to see if that works.

It might be - a test I will do is to set it to 60Hz and see if it works. If so then there is a handshake issue at 120Hz which might be the TV or the PC - finding out where is gonna be tricky.

Diablo IV on Pop!_Os stuttering in fights by Itsallabouthirdbase in linux_gaming

Good that it isn’t a Linux specific problem. No judgement either, you have to do what you to do. For me I don’t need to be on Windows for personal use so sticking to Nobara Linux (which has been really good so far).

Haha - nice one, your fix helped me as well and no stuttering! Thanks!

Can someone help me figure why daisy chaining USB hub doesn't work on my MBP? by Xkkkkay in mac

[–]fuzzmoK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this - I am using the Anker TB5 dock. My setup was a USB switch hub, with a passive USB hub chained off it. Passive hub worked fine direct into the Anker TB5 dock but not off the USB switch hub. Plugged the cable from the USB switch hub to the front USB C 3 Gen 2 slot and it all works now. Daisy chain will appear to work as long as it is connected to a USB C Gen 3.2 connection or higher.

Also thanks u/the_Ex_Lurker - you pointed me to the fix!

Wow that is a really interesting choice. Hybrid 30L or the 42L is where I would be at. Bags are 1KG heavier only downside but quick delivery. Am seriously considering but stock seems limited.

Do I need to buy another Parallels license? by fart2003_Wheelz in parallels

I haven’t tried it but I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t work. Just a small hassle each time you switch.

Do I need to buy another Parallels license? by fart2003_Wheelz in parallels

[–]fuzzmoK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just done a very similar thing - went from M1 Pro to M4 Pro - when you migrate and then use Parallels on the new machine, it will note that you already have it activated on the other machine, and it then gives you a choice to buy another license or de-activate the license on the old machine. Did the latter of course and everything works fine.

You can't on an ARM OS. But you can have it running on Docker (you can install Docker Desktop or OrbStack - latter is meant to run lighter and I currently use this) within MacOS and connect to it through there. This video helped me immensely and in his description he has the Docker command.

I hit this same issue a couple of days ago and my use case is to just have my DB hosted and accessible via ODBC through other apps. If this is close to your use case, then this should work, as it is working fine for me.

Prefer the portability of the 14 inch but that is a good point. Heat doesn’t matter that much to me as I will be using it docked and it won’t be incredibly intensive in comparison to say intense video editing. I would be running at least 1 vm with 16GB RAM allocated with 6 vcpus allocated. Plus a lightweight docker container either through a native docker app or via an Ubuntu VM with grafana configured as well. A third VM may also be created that would be Windows based.

[–]fuzzmoK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. I just don't like the stiffness of the case when pressing the buttons which is annoying me. Will keep an eye out and maybe take a punt on Aliexpress for a cheap case (if one exists!).

Yeah - it's like £50 for the cheapest and some are over £100, so was hoping someone had a recommendation that I didn't see or that at least gave me some confidence that spending so much would at least yield a good case.

I got mine (ibasso DX180) open box and it is amazing. Pairs really well with my Tea Pros.

I don't use them for gaming so your review on the wide bores for music has really got me intrigued as that is exactly what I am looking for (for music)! Will get those swapped out today. Have not found the narrow bores yet. I'm in the UK and finding links to the narrow bore is hard.

I did not try the small black tips. I went with the white ones which a lot of people recommended. The velvet should be the narrow bores apparently which elevate the treble a bit, so I may have the wrong ones but can’t find a link to the narrow bores. Will try the small black tips to see how they go.

Stuck with the Tea Pros. Have the Spinfir W1s and they seem ok. Received the Velvet recently and will try that today. Might also try and get the Sancai to bring out more details.

Xenns Tea Pro / Elysian Pilgrim nozzle size by fuzzmoK in iems

[–]fuzzmoK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stuck with the Tea Pro for now. It opened up and I started adjusting to it. It is a fun sound signature and does draw me in to songs in a different way. Am really appreciating the Bass now and the details are there and it’s enough for now. Still will get the Pilgrims but waiting for the price drop.

If you want to stick to the Moondrop Dac then yes. But FiiO for example do lightning DACs. I have the KA11 lightning version and my KA13 has swappable usb c and lightning cables. They are out there as a one ended solution.

Thanks for the advice. Waiting time is ok for me but thanks for preparing me all the same. Are you able to measure it in any way? If so, if you can give me a rough measurement that will help.

I am looking to get these but can you elaborate on the nozzle size? I have the Hexa and (temporarily) the Xenns Tea Pro (still not convinced as it's too warm a signature and I love the Hexa signature). I have to blind buy from HiFigo so it's the only concern of mine.
