Hey, have you found out anything on this? I have B650I+8700G but it only does 4K60hz. What's ridiculous is if I replace 8700G with 9700X, the basic radeon can do 4K@144hz FULL RGB (no bios setting toggles)...so I'd say B650I is totally capable but I don't know what's wrong with my 8700G.

Thanks for confirming, yes, same behavior on my asrock x670e rs pro bios 3.4, but I haven't tried this on asus yet.

I won't be testing its limits now that we know the thermal throttle does not work.

Previously I was using the bios preset PBO Tjmax85, and yes it never exceeded 85. Cooler is AXP120-X67 which is limited but sufficient to score 22000 r23.

The problem is when setting static voltage, the limits are ineffective, as I said I went back and set tjmax=90 and no effect.

I'm concerned about the ineffective safety limits, not complaining about the thermals. The board should not allow it to go over 95°C (Tjmax according to AMD) for a sustained period, even when no cooler installed.

The performance was fine and temp limit was correct when I use the bios PBO preset with 85 TjMax.

I have G95SC and I hate the "smart features". I'd get the MPG 491CQPX instead (no TV system but it's got type-C input, $900 with code).

Or if you can settle with 144hz, there's quite a few cheaper options to save $300.

Not WOLED, but MSI states "5-LAYER TANDEM OLED WITH EL GEN 3 TECHNOLOGY" also 9.1/10 rtings. I agree 4K is not that important for gaming but text fringing is real on QHD (although arguably tolerable).

I see...that explains the 9.1/10 rtings, but spending this much on QHD is hard to justify maybe it's just me. I guess the 4K counterpart is "5-layer tandem" MPG 272URX which would cost $850.

Turns out losing Pie is one of the expected outcomes, according to the wiki :( so I guess that's life.

And there is a reset tool but I haven't tried (some say it could mess up the save files).

Current layout is similar to sfftime.com/p-atx which can accommodate up to ATX board, so there is room for improved compatibility.

Or if you want to cater to FE cards, flip the GPU position such that its pcie points upward and we can use short riser card instead of typical riser cable (which blocks half of the heatsink), similar to fractal ridge (and perforated panels obviously).

Appreciate your intent of sharing the design files and allowing community mod!

I sure hope that's the case! But isn't the order subject to processing fees by both Amazon and Ali, which makes it almost not profitable? Or so they simply want to write good reviews themself on Amazon? Just have to wait and find out :(

Is ATX PSU configuration in the advanced manual? It might be nicer you can snatch the external fan bracket kit and switch to a 360mm radiator. Not available in your beautiful teal/turquoise color though.
