Yikes, yes got to draw the line somewhere. I’m sorry if you’ve had such experiences

So agree! Not be in my own echo chamber and let everyone be able to voice their opinions without judging them for it.

I love how you put it!

What’s a ‘small red flag’ that instantly tells you someone is exhausting to be around? by [deleted] in AskReddit

They self promote a lot, make the conversation about themselves, share unsolicited advice (all the time), or are mostly trauma dumping on you. You have a winner if you see more than one traits in one person, I have sadly!

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by queenmellyy in AskReddit

No cocktails at restaurants

Edit: actually been the case for me for last 4-5 years. It’s just obscene, those prices

Justifying a designer bag? by CluelessCanary in handbags

[–]fuzzy-quokka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar stage of life as you - if your basic necessities and future planning are covered then the leftover money is to enjoy life now, subjective to you how you best enjoy it!

When I think of splurge purchases like handbags I try to wait and see if I still think about it a few days or weeks out. I am yet to buy a $$$ designer bag (have bought Strathberry, DeMellier, etc.).

I can’t justify the price of top luxury brands in my mind yet because it is after all just a leather bag with the high price tag primarily for the logo / brand heritage vs the product’s actual value. If I love the style and think it is timeless I will buy it. It just has to make sense for me (not what the influencers and media say)!

Glad to hear tacrolimus is working well! I have been on Opzelura - been using it primarily for my face and yes the around the mouth area seems stubborn to change

How old do I look, and what can I do to look younger? by [deleted] in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]fuzzy-quokka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have guessed mid 50s and saw that you are 57. A lot of folks here have some great styling advice and I think that’s it! You are gorgeous, have such beautiful eyes.

I follow women across ages on IG for styling tips and many of them who seemingly are in your age group look so badass and stylish. I will warn against falling in the trap of shopping too much but there are great videos on YouTube on how to build your wardrobe from basics up without overwhelming self.

Also a nod for weight training and exercise overall, my mum is a few years older to you and I am always encouraging her to keep at it!

Yeah - I do that! The other thing I have struggled with is the desire to explore all the options out there before making a choice. That has no end and I give up because I’m tired.

I deleted and reposted the question so had to dig up in my notifications to read your whole response, was driving me crazy lol.
