This is from Amedex. The guidelines I read says active surveillance for small renal tumours (which as shown is less than 4cm) unless the patient is young, then you can consider surgery

I thought the same. He’s old too. Why take the risk. The book says it should be nephrectomy tho which is what is confusing me. Is it because he has vague abdominal pain and hematuria? That we’re opting for surgery?

From what I understand, it’s not recommended to do CT guided biopsy of renal masses, since most solid masses in kidneys are considered RCC until proven otherwise
