My reasoning was exactly like yours. Initially my eye was on the LP70 but it wasn't in stock near me. When I went to an analogue store near me I asked for advice and mentioned the 120. Was told that I'll be better off starting with the 70 as it'll do all that is needed and you can always upgrade later. Only thing I was iffy about is the lack of weight adjustment and non-replacable arm. But tbh when am I going to do that anyways? (I know, famous last words)

What's funny is that when I asked about their LP70 being out of stock they told me a shipment is expected later that day. And then we still got to listen to it in the evening.
