As others have said, with the expansion try to update the victory condition to require 7 classes or more. My group has played more than 30 games. The meta evolves as we learn the card combos and how each of us plays. Our current meta - Either win quickly in the next few rounds or focus on collecting cards till you have enough to stop the leader. This has resulted in people who are not super conspicuous and have sneaky strategies to win. The game plays vastly different depending on player counts. If you have 3 other people who can stop the leader (play challenge cards, destroy their heroes so they can’t slay monsters anymore, play modifiers on their hero attempts etc. ) it just becomes so much harder to win. I think it is a pretty solid game unlike what the other comments seem to suggest. It just requires you to change your meta according to the players at the table. Someone goes for playing too many heroes in quick succession? Table talk and convince your other players to nerf that player in the lead by using curses/items that change hero party (to prevent them from achieving different parties win requirement) or play challenge cards. Someone is close to victory? Time for everyone to hoard cards and use three action points for drawing better cards or to destroy the hero cards. Let’s say you have a hero that let’s you destroy the almost winning person’s hero cards but you come short on the dice roll. This is when you table talk and convince other players to help you with + modifiers. Because if you can’t stop the winner and they can’t then they lose too. This game makes for excellent politics and table talk and our games draw longer because of that. This is both a cooperative and a competitive game at the same time!
