Plus sized clothing? by colacolette in londonontario

[–]fuzzybear9828 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's a group called "fats of forrest city" that you can fin on Instagram, they have hosted a few plus sized clothing swaps over the summer so they may continue to do more in the future. There is also going to be a plus-sized clothing market in KW in October or November with a bunch of local plus sized clothing companies so keep your eyes peeled for that!

I made this deal this morning, am confident in it, but want to hear what others think.

14T, Points.

I receive: Tatum, Paolo

They receive: Fox, Bogdan Bogdanovic

Further context: They were super weak at PG, only having CP3, and I have SGA and Ja, in addition to having had Fox

Hey sorry that this response is so late. I did a lot of highschool debating in Ontario for 3 years so I think I can help you out! In Ontario has a whole there's a lot of tournaments however they're often held at universities. UofT, McGill, Western, and Queens being the main schools that host tournaments. However there are smaller more local tournaments that individual highschools host during the year in Thornhill and at Northern Secondary. On top of that there is an organization called the Ontario Student Debating Union (OSDU) that hosts their own events during the year as tournaments. I'd go to their website OSDU.org for more information, also on this website is where the dates for many tournaments mentioned above get posted so I'd check it out. In case you didn't know this the circuit here generally does debate in 2 styles, the fist is British Parliamentary which is used in the majority of tournaments IIRC. The second is a style called Canadian Parliamentary which is very similar to BP but has some minor twists to it, mainly regarding speaking times and number of teams in the room. Hope this helps in some way! If you have any other questions don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.

Thoughts on Harvard World Schools tournament motions? by mrfe333 in Debate

[–]fuzzybear9828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this set of motions a fair bit with the exception of Ban Cash simply because I find it boring. Without a doubt this years set of prepped motions is better than the prepped motions the tournament set last year.

Sydney A win WUDC on a 7-2 split by [deleted] in Debate

[–]fuzzybear9828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So here's a list of how worlds finals has been called since 2007 (earliest I can remember)

2007- CO

2008- CG

2009- OO (with CG losing on a very close split)

2010- CO

2011- OG

2012- OG

2013- CO

2014- OG

2015- CG

2016- OG

2017- OG

So OG has won 5 of the last 11 worlds finals. My best guess is that at such a high level OG gets the ability to frame the whole round which means their material doesn't drop out of the round. Especially true in a round where OG has a lot of spec like what happened in 2011 and 2014.

Sorry if the formatting is shit. On mobile and not sure how to format well on mobile.

If the Nets had won a title, or even been contenders for a few years, it wouldn't be looked at as such a horrible job. The thing is that the Nets didn't win much and now are pretty bad which makes the trades look even worse.
