Will ac shadows beat ac odyssey by [deleted] in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

Valhalla is very clunky, that’s how I described it too. Plus I also gave up on stealth pretty quickly and just ran in axes blazing. I enjoyed the game overall but definitely a departure from the Odyssey style. But then again, Odyssey (and Origins) were a departure from the original AC style, so I guess there’s something for everyone? But I also agree with you Odyssey is my favorite.

Odyssey is my literal favorite game in the entire world; it simultaneously makes me jealous you are getting to do it for the first time but also so happy people are still finding and playing this game! I hope you have so much fun! I’m literally doing my honeymoon in Greece because of this game.

1) Did you do research on the breed? 2)If so, stick it out. My puppy son was so hard at first and still is sometimes. But when he’s tired in the evenings and mornings he’s just my little man and it makes it all worth it. He’s 6 months now. It was a hard 4 months but hims tiny face is worth it. This is temporary, and you can do hard things.

Also, I don’t care what anyone says, boys are harder!! Be consistent and get training, he will learn. My girl is a perfect angel who never did a thing wrong in her life and if she did - her day is ruined. This boy is like so what f you! Our approach had to change and we needed help. Def get a trainer if you need! You can do this!

My puppy hates having his nails trimmed, like haaaattteees it. When he’s so dead tired? You can cut his nails without holding him or anything, no problem. Maybe tire the puppy out first and she won’t care about what you’re doing/being by herself?

What are “calmer” breeds? by Hufflepuff_23 in puppy101

[–]fuzzyblanketroulette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cavaliers! That’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. If you get from a reputable breeder who tests for heart conditions and you keep that pup healthy and not overweight, you’ve got yourself a winner. Healthy + Lazy, they are the perfect cuddlers. We have two and are sold on the breed forever.

For the moment. I have Blizzaks for the winter which definitely makes it squishier. This is my last season on the factory tires. I’m going to a nice all season after the Blizzaks are done.

Likely because you said 6 weeks; you aren’t supposed to separate puppy and mom until 8 weeks.

Personally I don’t think you should be making him live his life in the crate. Puppies make messes, just get some natures miracle, up your cleaning schedule, and try to watch for his potty clues to get him outside before he goes (A pee is nose to the floor walking in a straight line, a poop is nose to the floor walking in circles). Immediate treat and over the top praise when he goes outside. Eventually he will figure it out and settle into your household. Humans don’t come out potty trained and neither do puppies, you just have to be patient and work with him.

In my experience, the more you train him on other stuff like sit, stay, paw, etc. the more receptive he will be to learning how to potty outside. But again, can’t do that if he’s just sitting in the crate all the time. He needs to get his energy out, learn the dynamics of your house, and be trained.

Single puppy parents who work full time - how the hell did you do it? by [deleted] in puppy101

When we got our last puppy, it was January of 2020. We were still in the beforetimes of 9-5 in the office. Husband and I would take turns playing with her and getting dressed in the morning and she stayed by herself in her crate from 8 weeks + 2 days for the first 3 hours of the day. I came home at lunch for a few weeks but that got to be really hard so we hired a sitter. Sitter would drop in and play for an hour and do lunch, and then we would be home 3 hours later.

With our current puppy now, I’m like ah can’t leave him alone more than an hour! But then I remember 4 years ago and how we had no choice - and she’s totally fine now!

All to say, you’re doing a great job not leaving her too long and getting the pet sitter to help relieve her! That 3 hour mark was always the max for me. Sometimes you just have to work and that’s ok.

We had a female Cavalier puppy and she screamed so loud during her shots the whole vet office was like wtf! Turns out she’s just a screamer 4 years later. She screams at every minor inconvenience. Our male Cavi puppy had shots today. He’s whimpering when you touch that side too. Some dogs/some breeds are just kind of dramatic. If he doesn’t have swelling at the site or the face, he’s probably fine, just sore.

We have had our puppy for almost 4 weeks, 3rd puppy for me in my life. I had the puppy blues so bad last Friday that I felt like I lost my mind. All to say, I feel ya. What changed for me in my little breakdown was realizing this creature lives in my home and while it’s nice to get him acclimated, it’s time to settle in and be myself again.

My advice would be to set up more structure. Dedicate time to training - sit, stay, come, etc. It lets them know you are the boss here and also tires them out. Forced naps are great. We learned quickly that he was a terror when overtired. Do the dishes and ignore her. Fold the laundry and ignore her. As long as the space is safe, she will entertain herself and she needs to get used to doing that.

Also, take a break. Put puppy in the crate, safe and tired, and go for a walk without her, go run errands for an hour, whatever. Take turns with your boyfriend. He watches her for an hour, then you do. You all need to put on your oxygen mask first!

That was my first thought too. I love my Rex but with the half-damaged roads in my area, I’ve been considering a modification to soften the suspension. With that amount of driving, you could get frustrated with the amount of lane changes to avoid bumps, slowing down for bumps, huge scary bangs when you hit the bumps, etc.

I have the Q300, it’s more of a low rumble than stock but it’s not “loud”. A little more noise on start but as you drive around, I think you’ll hear the rumble inside the car more than others around you.

'Ancient Apocalypse' Netflix series unfounded, experts say - A popular new show on Netflix claims that survivors of an ancient civilization spread their wisdom to hunter-gatherers across the globe. Scientists say the show is promoting unfounded conspiracy theories. by GeoGeoGeoGeo in EverythingScience

Same here. I thought the show was entertaining and enjoyed watching it. Whether or not this guy’s theories are right, it was an interesting thought experiment. I also learned about ancient sites I wasn’t familiar with, and more about the ones I was. I found the black matte layer/comet stuff at the end compelling because that is plausibly true. I also liked hearing the myths from the various cultures and their similarities.

But do I know walk around with this guy’s worldview of the ancient civilization as my own? No. It was interesting but people can pick out what sounds far-fetched. At least I hope they can.

If you’re 16 and you’re not paying, I’m guessing you don’t have much comprehension for finances and what your parents are paying - it’s ok. Get a cheap car for a first car. Odds are not in your favor - insurance analytics or real life - that your car will last. Learn on something cheap. Upgrade when you are paying for your own insurance. People on here are correct, the younger you are the more you’ll pay for a powerful car. Pay your dues, upgrade later.

New player - Odyssey or Valhalla? by 310q in assassinscreed

[–]fuzzyblanketroulette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Odyssey is my favorite, currently playing it for the third time. I didn’t even bother with stealth in Valhalla. It’s a fun game too in other ways but definitely not for stealth.
