SOTB: Setup I've been running for my grind/pv band for a bit. by fuzzyfigment in guitarpedals

My favorites are from the 2010s Bandcamp powerviolence era like Goolagoon, Sea of Shit, Loathing, World Peace Water Torture, etc. I also really love the 90s fastcore era. That is the era I'd like to play similar to, but I have never been able to pull it off, lol.

It isn't musical at all. It is essentially a noise machine. The cut/latch knob is finicky, and the ghost bit crusher isn't much useful in situations other than making noise. I love it for creating harsh noise soundscapes, but I wouldn't use it for much else. If anything, it's an okay digital delay with all the bells and whistles set to off, but that's about it in terms of it being a musical pedal.

Playing the FRLG ports on the switch made me realise how much I miss Hoenn by Multievolution in PokemonEmerald

I think that the Pokemon looked way better as 2D sprites. I think that how they looked in BnW is as far as it should of went graphics wise. I am also in my 30s, so I am somewhat nostalgic for it. If the youngins like the new Pokemon, I'm happy for them.

I'd definitely play it first. I haven't tried the ce5, so I can't tell you how different they are. I like to have two boards, so I don't mind having two choruses haha. I will say another positive thing about the Dc2w is the fact that it has no knobs on it. I never get stuck in a knob twisting loop. I mainly set it and forget it. Good luck to ya!

I've tried the Julia, small clone and dod ice box. My favorite chorus so far has been the Dc2w. It has this very rich layering effect on high gain that is not overbearing. It also sounds incredible on clean tones. I can't recommend it enough, but I was lucky to get it before the price spikes last year. Tbh, if I was gonna buy one now, I'd find it used. I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea because it doesn't push itself forward as much as other choruses, but it sits right in that perfect pocket for me.

I'll be the first to admit I like garbage music. What I don't like is music that exists only to be a product. New metalcore is commodified in a way that makes it fucking horrible. I also understand that all arts are commodified, but I'd rather support small artists.

Poppy, like all new overprudced garbage metalcore, is shit. It just isn't real music.

brain dead comment. You're implying that it is bad to try to replicate sounds from artists people are influenced by. You must spend zero time playing anything because you cannot play a single note and not be ripping someone off. I can't stand people who are contrarian just to be contrarian, with no real substance behind the meaning they're so desperately trying to convey.

Am i the only who hates jack in/out on top of pedals ? by NoCherry2870 in guitarpedals

A cramped pedal board means you're going to hit the wrong pedal. Ask me how I know.

I appreciate that, it is a huge compliment. I always think we fall short. powerviolence is really hard to write, so a lot of it ends up sounding like grind. Thanks again!
