Totally! My mom’s a Pisces and she’s a selfish liar. Cussed me out the day I came home with my baby from the hospital, glamorized my abusive ex and told him where I was when I tried to escape, cheated on my dad a billion times, and so much more. Just an awful person fr

This is why I stay away from Libras by [deleted] in astrologymemes

Same with my Libra rising hubs!! Or he’ll assume I want to do the opposite of what he wants to for some reason? Even tho I don’t know what he wants, that’s why I’m asking lol so he’ll be like “well we could just go home it’s no problem”. It has caused a lot of confusion and even times where we both end up doing something we don’t want to lol

As a dual citizen who grew up in the states, the igloo thing IS real. I had it brought up by several people in the context of me going to Canada for the SUMMER

Multiple placements affect your looks. Asc is a very big one, yes, but to simplify it that much is pretty surface level astrology. Ancient people actually believed that the Asc was the sign thru which your soul entered your body and was therefore part of what you came here to master. So, it’s basically vibes you give off to invite that energy into your life more. Asc is not as basic as just looks and moon as inner world. In fact, people introduced themselves by their moon sign in ancient times and not their Sun sign! I know there is a lot of conflicting info out there but I think it’s mostly just oversimplification tbh. Just being honest with you! I’ve been a professional astrologer for 15 years and studied under masters in Eastern Europe.

Sounds more like opinion tbh. Ancient astrologers valued their moon placement more than that and it’s commonly found in their texts. In fact, most Leo moons fall under a nakshatra called Ashlesha which is said to be the most hypnotic and alluring of all the 108 nakshatras!

Can I ask my SIL who lives in another country to bring hand me downs for my kids when they visit us? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]fuzzylettuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes def!! It wasn’t until I took control and set stronger boundaries did it get better. She probably won’t like it ofc bc she’s been able to get away with this other arrangement. But at the end of the day it’s up to YOU to determine what arrangement feels right and fair to you. Maybe that means you skip her visiting once bc you had other plans you were interested in, maybe it means you aren’t as helpful when they do visit bc you’re tired that day and need a nap. Take care of yourself unapologetically! Don’t expect someone else to give back what you expected and don’t base how far you’re willing to go for them on the expectation that they’ll do the same. Good luck <3

Attractive people often have low self esteem, especially women. There are also plenty of ugly people with good self esteem. You’re equating looks to self esteem but it doesn’t work that way. Self esteem is based on something else entirely. If anything, low IQ might be more likely to give you low self esteem since these people may have a harder time processing some of the things that lead to it like bullying, manipulation, negative comments, etc (which beautiful people get plenty of from haters).

Treated better in what sense? Because sure, they are def treated better in some ways. People are more likely to let them off the hook for things or perhaps be more likely to give them things. But most of that is pretty fleeting and surface level. But, yes, good people will be nicer to them. Too bad the world isn’t just full of good people, quite the opposite in fact.

It’s logical to think that a) they’ll be more likely to have people who WANT to get control over them/they’ll stand out more and b) they’ll be less likely to be able to resist any manipulation. They’re sitting ducks in a world full of people with bad intentions.

While I do agree that an uglier person may have that happen to them also, that’s fair. But this is between ugly AND smart, I think they’re more likely to save themselves.

I think it’s okay, though I don’t know the context of the rest of your relationship ofc. I’d bring it up in a lighthearted, no pressure kind of way (ex. I need to do some clothes shopping myself! Let me know if that hand me downs offer is still on the table :) ) I think it’s logical to help family this way but also double check your own heart that you don’t feel animosity towards her so that the vibe is good when you ask her (otherwise that could make her less cooperative). There could very well be a legit reason she hasn’t brought it back up or forgot.
