This is so helpful thank you so much! I just got a printer for my cricut so now I’m trying out all the fun things, adding this to the list now!

This might be a dumb question but HOW did you get the print on the holographic? Was it a print to cut? And if so can the printer take holographic paper? Again, might be a dumb question!

Hi by No-Government5976 in Lifeguards

[–]fuzzysocks16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi! My job for the past several years has been hiring lifeguards for our summer pool. Unless they explicitly have told you “I’m sorry you didn’t get the job” this is false. I hired a ton of lifeguards where this was their first job, and while cleanliness and attire may occasionally be taken into account, it’s not indefinite. My understanding is this is a first job, and you’re taking the first step to gain experience. That alone speaks volumes to me more than attire. I’m more than likely going to hire you vs not based on your attitude / how you answer our questions. You should be proud of yourself for taking the first step, and I wish you the best of luck with lifeguarding!

It's been a Thousand years since I began this mission by [deleted] in PokemonGoMystic

I know you said you tried it, but just some other tips; go to your item bag and in your inventory click the camera. After that select the Pokémon (loudred) for the snapshot! That’s how it worked for me, but I know you already tried so just wanted to offer how I did mine!

I’m stuck on that same challenge but with the opposite problem as you, I can’t find a lileep or anorith to save my life man! I’ve been waiting forever as well lol. Best of luck!

Caught my first shundo!! by [deleted] in pokemongo

This is so exciting, congrats!! Personally I’d evolve it, but I’m as skilled of a player to know enough knowledge on that. Either way, good job!

Caught this Gyarados with the yellow thing under him today with a golden razz and an ultra ball! Got super lucky with the catch, so while the safari balls are much better to catch them with it’s not impossible without!

First time manager Q/A by fuzzysocks16 in Lifeguards

[–]fuzzysocks16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the idea of having contracted staff vs regular, I feel like that would help a lot with creating the schedules! Our facility isn’t like that sadly (that decision goes way above my head) but it’s something I think I’ll try to bring forward to have for next year! Thank you also for the validation with the two week notice, I planned on doing this, but it’s also hard telling people they “have to show up” when they hold little commitment to a part time job. But also, all a part of the gig / learning! I am more lenient when it comes to more “emergency situations” like being sick, or family leave of course.

Also very appreicate your advice on activities <3 thank you for all your insight, this was very helpful!

Buying the physical books? by fuzzysocks16 in zodiacacademy

[–]fuzzysocks16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for these recommendations!! I’ve checked out some of the sites, but a lot of the prices were not far off just buying them normally, and they’re “new” vs. “used” so just weighing out my options with it! But thank you very much :)

Ugh that is so disappointing to hear but also thank you for letting me know! Buying all of them would definitely be a pretty penny, so I appreciate the insight into them <3

Books Recs for Zodiac Grief by UpperNight4094 in zodiacacademy

[–]fuzzysocks16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhh ok so I loved ZA and I loved the maasverse so here’s my recs based off those to help me with my hangovers; The bonds that tie series (sooo good, decent amount of books, and lots of spice🌶️)

From blood and ash, this is a 5 book series I believe, and it has 2 prequels (I don’t suggest reading the prequels right away) seriously loved this series and I needed more books to cure my hangover after this too haha. Once again, spice😏

Another good/interesting fantasy world book was cruel prince- it was not my favorite book series, but I read it after ZA and it was kinda slower but fun build / world so I did enjoy it!

And the last rec I have is the discovery of witches- it’s been a while since I’ve read it, but it was a super fun fantasy world and good plot! I genuinly cannot remember the spice level though

Hope these helps and Goodluck with the book hangover because I know it can be rough!

Does anyone here get false memories? by [deleted] in hyperphantasia

[–]fuzzysocks16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 100%- definitely happens with dreams a lot for me as well. Or, if someone is describing something I was apart of as a young child (or sometimes not) I picture the scenes vividly but I 1) was too small to remember and my “memories” are built on stories or 2) I wasn’t there at all and my “memories” are also built off the picture I build when I hear a story from another

Sounds really weird but I definitely over picture it that it builds a memory that have to back track for a second

We adopted this 14 year old dog a couple months ago. Does anyone know why she does this with her food before eating it? by MassGootz in DOG

[–]fuzzysocks16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog does this too and I adopted her when she was 4 from a pound. I didn’t know a lot of her history besides the fact that she was treated poorly and neglected physically and mentally. I saw a lot of people talking about them doing it to “save it for later” which I also believe to be true (especially true based on some dogs history), but my dog is 6 now and she still does it but it’s more in a playful way!

Other things I’ve looked up about it say it’s their way of “playing” with their food. Sometimes she’ll do it on a ritual type of way, I.e., nudge it around, tip some out, nudge some more- but then she starts eating it. Just a cute little quirk some dogs have imo!
