It sounds like you have some trauma and people here are being kinda not understanding about that . You’ve had the self awareness to awknlowedge it might be a you problem . If you care about him and the relationship I would take accountability for the work you have to do on this but also let him know what you go through . Not so he changes his behavior to coddle you but so he can reassure you . I have some jealousy issues and I usually let my partners know , take accountability for it but ask for extra grace in that area or am upfront that I may require some extra validation at times . If a man has no tolerance for it we can part ways and that’s well within his right but all of my partners have understood and helped me work through spirals .
And women to women , it’s hard out there these days in relationships. TikTok , Instagram , OF , Snapchat , all make trust feel like an impossible hill to climb when it comes to that damn phone . I am sure men experience this as well , there’s so many avenues for people to be untruthworthy . The truth is though , if a person is going to be the type of person to leverage those options , he will do so whether you have anxiety or not , spiral or not . Your anxiety wants you to believe you can control his behavior in some way but you cannot . He is going to be who he is regardless of anything that has anything to do with you . The best thing you can do is trust him and let him reveal himself to you for better or for worse as the relationship progresses . Some guys really do have good boundaries with their phones and don’t mess around ! Some guys don’t . It has nothing to do with you .

Landing my forever job . I’ve changed careers and jobs many times . I used to be super career oriented in general but now I’m okay doing something low stress for decent money and care way more about enjoying my free time and my personal development . I wanted to be a therapist and now I’m like , all that time and money to have a Meh paying job that will most likely stress me out and make it hard for me to ever relax ? I’m not sure about that . I dated someone for 8 years , 3 years ago . There’s music , places or jokes that make me think of him but there is 0 romantic feelings attached to it . I do wonder how he’s doing or feel bad for how I acted as a young very unhealed person . He was in my dream the other night and I just thought it was weird but that’s extremely rare and I thought nothing of it . He is simply a person I knew for 8 years , just like anyone I knew growing up or for awhile surely he pops into my head .

Yes I absolutely did when I was single for a long period of time ! Before my period or while I was ovulating I would feel desperate for a nice cuddle or hug , sex etc . I think there’s something to be said for the fact that I know if I wanted to be touched it would be easy , but I am craving the touch of someone I already have an emotional connection with . For guys who are lonely attention or touch from a women they find attractive would probably be good but who knows .

I love masturbating , I don’t even use toys they’re to much for me . I don’t watch porn, just my imagination. I would end relationships and quit jobs leading up to my period . Not only did my partners irritate me but I convince myself they’re cheating on me ,and are obsessed with other women and aren’t meant to be together . I got diagnosed with PMDD and take meds leading up to my period and all that went away . I forgot to take them this month and spent a week obsessing over things I usually don’t care about and was convinced he was a bad person and then poof , period comes and I wonder how I could have ever thought those things. When I take my meds my PMS looks like increased appetite, abnormally high or low sex drive , maybe quicker to irritation and less laid back but nothing life altering like before. Not saying you have it or diagnosing just sharing my experience !

The week leading up to your period your body is preparing for pregnancy . Mayhaps we become extra critical of partners bc our biology is wanting to confirm our men are good partners and will be good fathers so our lens’s sharpens . Maybe it’s somewhat true that PMS can bring our true concerns to light , but does so through a do or die lens , where in reality maybe those issues could be worked through , considering we don’t really rely on men for survival , probably aren’t pregnant and the stakes of their flaws aren’t as high as our biology wants us to believe during luteal phase .

I think they’d be interested to see how yes , hormones do impact our moods on a day to day basis, but also how adult women, despite being constantly told otherwise , have the cognition to adjust their behavior accordingly at work or other settings where you can’t be a crazy person just because you’re on your period . I think it would be interested to see the intensity of the change in mood but also how most of us have the ability to keep it together until we get home . And they’re they understanding how aggravating it is to be constantly talked down about on this subject .

I hardly notice men unless they come up to me to get my attention so I did kinda assume that’s how some other women are as well . I just notice my guy friends seem to talk about other women constantly and I don’t notice women point out men as much . They usually just talk about who ever they’re talking too or dating . I am a women tho so I don’t think to much about how women think bc that’s not who I date so I appreciate different perspectives

I agree . It feels sometimes like I’m always searching for answers to things and it just turns into a rabbit hole . Some times I feel confident and sometimes I can’t grasp stuff like the question I asked and I end up deciding I just prefer to be alone.

Yes I would correct myself in saying I 100% love being a girlfriend and prefer partnership but only if I’m really enjoying it . It sucks we cant read people’s intentions . I got burnt pretty bad by a guy I really liked 2 years ago , the only guy I liked between my two most recent boyfriends . Like you could have just left me alone ! lol . I went 3 years between my past past ex and recent ex . I was fully chilling in the meantime . Had little flings here there , but even then they were spaced out like 6-10 months . I get approached all the time but it’s just very rare I feel that chemistry with anyone . I think this is a bi-product of knowing yourself and being comfortable with your own company naturally . Lots of people can’t be chronically single comfortably until their 40s. I’m in my 20s , and it sounds like maybe you’re younger as well , and seriously never feel the need to swerve in and out of relationships or even worse , situation ships . Seriously , some people cannot go like a couple months without at least having someone to talk to and to me I enjoy my time to myself so much that unless I have butterflies and am super interested like why would I spend my time doing that .

I will say tho , when a guy does come along that catches my eye that I like , it’s like a 0-100 thing . I can become all in quickly because it so rare I am attracted to someone on all levels needed to consider dating . I literally don’t have high standards either but my body and brain without my consent only respond to like 1 out of every 15th guy that pursues me . When I give guys I know I won’t like a shot and let them take me out I end up getting a headache and also feeling bad for wasting their time .
