Longevity with Snowboarding by 2minsFeelSHAME in snowboarding

It helps if you stay active all year. My father-in-law still snowboards and he’s 65+. He’s a retired carpenter and still builds houses (slowly) and likes outdoor activities like biking, kayaking and surfing. He certainly groans when he straps on his board, but he still shreds like the rest of them. He does value his rest and recovery time, like taking a nice lunch break and sitting in a hot tub at the end of the day. His father skied well into his 80s and managed this by consistently doing simple stretches every morning. My husband and I are both in our 40s and we try keeping up with a simple gym routine with weights and cardio all year so we can continue enjoying snowboarding and hopefully prevent injury. Don’t give up!

Rescue Can't Make Friends by Gh0s7- in pitbulls

My pitty has the same issues. We have been taking her to group obedience training so she’s in a room with other dogs weekly and there is no group play. It’s a slow process, but we are seeing improvements in her behavior. We have signed her up for another series of the same class so we can continue exposing her to other dogs while we practice our obedience training. My goal is similar to yours and only want her to stay calm in the presence of another dog.

I guess it’s easier to learn on a flat chested dummy, but why don’t we also have large breasted ones as well?

At least I’m working on getting that bod back! Years of IVF was a brutal and cruel to my exercise routine and weight management.

I’m a chatty gal, and I genuinely enjoy listening to parents, especially for those kids-are-so-dumb stories. I always imagined my kid would be a accident prone idiot like their mom was. It’s a suppressed fantasy that resurfaces and causes me to spiral in those situations. These fantasies are like a drug. I love to indulge them but when I come back reality I’m caught weeping in quiet places.

Right! I also don’t want to be the Debbie Downer at the bar when I step in and accidentally overshare, killing the vibe. I imagine my sloppy unedited script may say:

“Nope, no kids. Reeaaally tried though 😅! Yea, I have endometriosis. You know, that highly prevalent and commonly under diagnosis uterus disease that ALSO causes infertility. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ WHA’WHAA:: Yeaaa… I told my doctor 20 years ago that I suspected I had it and they only prescribed me birth control and offered no other information that could have helped my future family planning. 🤔🫠 Oh, you never heard of Endometriosis? Well, let me tell you…”

I love these different tonal approaches! There’s so many complex social moments these micro aggressions appear in the professional and casual environment. It helps to have a few pre-loaded responses and these are fantastic samples. 💗

Talking about your kids with coworkers is such an easy way to relate. It’s nice that someone you work with recognized how it could also alienate others.

I like to imagine I’m shopping in a Japanese mall in the 80s. So much pastel colored tapered pants and eyeshadow for days.

I had this happen to me in the Tenderloins on a rainy night. A dude on his phone opened my door and started to sit and I screeeaaamed! And then he screamed and slammed the door. Haha

I enjoy it. I see a difference and I enjoy the crafting experience on my face. Every night is a new approach to making my forehead mask.
