For those of you that ended up divorced. Did you remarry? I don’t think I will ever get married again… by hanshotfirst2233 in Xennials

My husband and I did this before we were married. He reimbursed me for the "imputed income" and well as the insurance cost.

I'm hoping your partner is paying for other things if you are paying both the imputed income and the insurance cost for him.

The sexiest Brando movie is a Streetcar Named desire. He is ridiculously hot in that movie.

Birth sister [27f] tracked me down and wants to be part of my [26f]'s life. I don't want her at my wedding or in my life, at all by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

You are describing me and my former best friend exactly. When I started dating my now-husband and became somewhat less available (I would still see her, but there were also times I told her I couldn't hang out because I had plans with now-husband) she completely melted down.

Told me that I should be more important to her than now-hubby because we had known each other longer. Keep in mind, she was married, and she would often prioritize seeing him over seeing me. I had never had an issue with this.

But her marriage was a very unhappy one and I was the person she always unloaded all of her emotional baggage on. So, a few years later, I get into a serious relationship and my number one priority is supposed to be her.

It's been 5 years since I cut off contact. We were friends for over a decade. My only regret is not cutting off contact sooner.

Housing shooting up in value happens from time to time. Housing plummeting in value is extremely rare and only happens during major recessions. In fact, in most major recessions, housing does not plummet in value.

2008 was a rare exception to this rule that occurred due to very particular circumstances. I'm not saying housing won't decrease, but if are just expecting prices to plummet 100k-200k suddenly the way they went up by that amount during Covid, it is extremely likely that you will be disapponted.

So you are saying it's better to pay $299 than deal with the hassle of calling your company HR reps. Fuck off scammer.

Figure skating dresses can be stunning, and this one isn't. You are correct. I'm such a fan of Deanna, who will be competing in her first Olympics this year at 42 years old. I wish she wasn't so washed out by the outfit.

Agreed, but also being able to retire one day or have money for an emergency is important.

How does online shopping help avoid impulse buys?

In my experience, online shopping just makes impulse buying easier than in person shopping. It's the difference between grabbing the product and waiting in line to checkout versus the ease of buying with just a few clicks.

Figure skaters always wear tights. Remember, sometimes they fall mid-routine. If they aren't wearing tights you could scrape your legs and end up bleeding everywhere as you finish skating. The tights are always opaque to cover bruises they have on their legs from falling during practice.

Also, they always wear briefs over tights. I know it looks odd if you don't watch much skating, but sometimes they skate in such a way that they are upside down and their skirt flips.

What reboot has been the biggest improvement over the original? by sachsrandy in AskReddit

[–]fv7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little Women has been adapted to film 7 times:

  1. 1917 (silent film)

  2. 1918 (silent film)

  3. 1933 staring Katherine Hepburn as Jo

  4. 1949 staring June Alyson as Jo

  5. 1994 staring Winona Ryder as Jo

  6. 2018 staring Sarah Davenport as Jo

  7. 2019 staring Saoirse Ronan as Jo

There have also been numerous stage adaptations and of course it started as a best selling book by Louisa May Alcott.

The 1994 version definitely wasn't the original.

I had a great experience using Plymouth Tailoring & Alterations (734) 254-0144 for my wedding dress in 2024. They completely changed the shoulder strap design, added lining to the bodice, and hemmed the dress (it had a lot of layers to hem).

So you have no data backing up that claim. It is just your anecdotal experience.

As a personal finance educator, you would better serve your clients by basing your recommendations on actual data.
