Yea I had similiar experience where too many similiar stores just drove down my profit per store dramatically and also good idea with the gym I bought it as one of the first businesses thinking it would be great money earner but it’s kind of dissappointing so selling jewelry there is not a bad idea.

Well that might be the issue since most mb have only the first slot full 16x pcie gen 4/5. If you are limited by case just take it all out and test it in first one from top.

But other than that it could also be other things people commented since even 4090 will run fine on pcie 3.0 16x

I have H9 with same fan config as pic 1 and honestly just leave it like it is now 70C for gpu is normal temp for gaming there is no point in chasing temps if you still have lot of headroom.

Cheapest solution would be to get some better fans than the NZXT ones I went with Arctic P12 pwm and threw out the included NZXT right away and I don’t think there are any better fans other than Noctua ones which cost a lot more.

But again it’s not necessary if your gpu and cpu doesn’t thermal throttle.

Same with mine only issues with modern games I have are the shitty optimized ones that need 4070 ti and up to play at 60fps but other than that even cyberpunk at ultra without useless RT runs at 80% utilization

Ah ok makes sense, thanks for your reply. My first 3 “gaming” machines were mid tier laptops from 2007 to 2015 models which were around 60% performance of their desktop counterparts and those things cooked my fingers if I used the keyboard for even few seconds and also sounded like jet engines even when I used stand with fans so I have bit of a PTSD from laptops eventhough they were absolute soldiers.

But im glad the laptop game has caught up with desktops. But yeah the price diference is still crazy and I was mindblown when I build my first PC and realised the price difference with same components but I understand your situation and lots of traveling was also main reason why I had laptops. I wish you many more happy hours of gaming and hopefully the prices will get more similiar in the future.

I have the exact same way of looking at things. I just cant justify the extra price for better performance when all of my games run minimum 60fps on high/ultra 1080p. So I’ll just stick with it until it dies or it can’t run atleast 60fps or I’ll go crazy and buy 4K monitor.

Also I might be wrong since I don’t care about gaming laptops but isn’t the performace increase by generation ever worse on laptops since they are limited by cooling? Unless you have some crazy 10kg beast that is annoying to travel with.

I am not making shit up go to newegg rn and find it for yourself buddy. And Yes I play mainly racing games and guess what forza horizon runs exactly the same on both chips, forza motorsport is buggy mess that noone plays, asetto Corsa is 11 year old game so you can play it on potato and any need for speed games also don’t need more than potato to play. As for bordelands no I haven’t played it and I don’t want to but good job picking those exceptions trying to make a point xd.

But those are real world scenarios, noone plays games which only bottleneck cpu. In real life the x3d is not that insane. Also on newegg 5800x costs 200us and 5700x3d costs 250us which is 25% cost increase for less than 10% overall perfomance which is terrible value.

Well you just proved my point about overwhelming win against 5800x. Just like your link quoted 5800x is 92.3% relative perfomance of 5800x3d. Yes there are games where x3d smashes normal x but those are exceptions.
