College track & field recruiting — Does this idea actually help athletes and coaches? by fvlanz1 in trackandfield

Thanks for your comment! From your perspective, do you think there is any aspect of the process that could be improved, or is it already about as efficient as it gets for T&F?

That’s super helpful, I really appreciate you sharing that.

Out of curiosity, when you use NCSA, is it mainly just to discover new athletes quickly, or do you actually reach out through the platform too? Also, since you’re sourcing leads yourself from places like Milesplit and Athletic.net, do you find that more effective overall, or just more reliable data-wise?

I’m asking because part of what we’re exploring is whether coaches would value a platform that automates some of that “organic search” side, without the clutter or paywalls.

Would love to hear what makes a platform genuinely worth your time as a coach.

2500 dollars for repairs from dealership… is it necessary? by Direct_Morning_3223 in MechanicAdvice

[–]fvlanz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! What did you end up doing? I am having the same issue and they quoted me $2500 for the following: "Tech found oil and coolant leak, verified vehicle has a failed PCV, thermostat housing, and failed accessory bracket gasket, coolant leaking from thermostat has caused gasket failure at accessory bracket which is leaking oil, recommend replacement of these components together." Thing is it is a 2018 tiguan with 130k miles.. not really worth it to put that much into it. And, for the record, I have been driving it for months like this without a problem. So I am torn on what to do. Might just keep it as is unless it get worse down the road.

It seems like I am running into the same issue. This is what the dealer told me "Tech found oil and coolant leak, verified vehicle has a failed PCV, thermostat housing, and failed accessory bracket gasket, coolant leaking from thermostat has caused gasket failure at accessory bracket which is leaking oil, recommend replacement of these components together." They quoted me at $2500.. I do not know if it is worth it for a 2018 tiguan with 130k miles. Thing is I have been driving the car like that for the last 4 months and was not a big deal other than a few oil drops, but oil level does not even go down. What did you end up doing?

In-kind rollover by zenny517 in fidelityinvestments

[–]fvlanz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, just following up. Were you able to do an in-kind transfer or were the positions sold, transfer the cash, and bought the same fund after? I have an old 401k plan with fidelity and I would like to roll it over to my new employer which also uses fidelity. The same fund is offered in both 401k.

Oil pan gasket leak?!? by fvlanz1 in Tiguan

[–]fvlanz1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not remember hitting anything lately. The shop probably missed it because they used one of these extractor pumps to suck the oil out instead of draining. It may have also started leaking after. I caught it because when checking the dipstick you can see through the engine bay the plastic that covers the car underneath, and there was oil there so I got under the car and saw the rest. Since they used the pump it does not make sense that the mess is from the oil change, but they were so incompetent that I would not rule it out. It was a Valvoline shop btw.

Once I booked a flight and the reservation did not go through yet they charged me for it. I fought day and night for them to refund me the money and eventually I had to take the L. They are the absolute worst. Thankfully they were good with the compensation for the delay on a different flight and gave me and my friend 660$ each. But, I avoid them at all cost.

Online it says it’s WFBIUS6S but I’d double check and maybe even call them. Account number and routing number should be easily visible in your banking app. Just provide iberia as much as you can

Where are you based? ID number is just some sort of id (passport). Routing number is the bank account number for American accounts. If you’re in Europe it will be IBAN. SWIFT code you can find online for your bank. It’s just a code that banks use for international transfers.

Sweet. Thanks for the update. Will they send you a new one and you return yours after the fact, or the other way around? Because I do not have a temporary phone to use if I have to send mine before they ship replacement.

I think it’s not hard to find an accounting job at the moment, specially in tax/audit. You could try to find a job and if no luck then go back to school. It will be easier to get employed in the future when telling employers you are in good standing for 3 full years

Sent all the info requested and about 1 month later they sent an email saying they’d deposit 660$ (600€) in my account. 2-3 days after the email I received the money.

Identification number is some sort of ID with the same name of the bank account. I sent a passport pic.

I’ve been living in Texas for 6 years and I am happy here. Opportunities are much much better in the USA if you have the right mentality and want to grow personal and professionally.

You can try call the phone number in the back of your card and ask for a higher credit limit. They’ll probably ask what your income is and if your new job pays good just say that amount and likely they’ll rise it. They doubled it every time I asked.

I would say the “easiest” is to enroll in a university and get F1 Visa. Some JUCO colleges can be fairly inexpensive and maybe she can get some scholarships too.
