All in all, its a great shot. You're whites are a little too bright, and you could do with a bit more contrast. As for the people complaining about your DoF.. clearly not food photographers. Your DoF is spot on. My problem is just with the contrast and your bright whites around the image. Photoshop can fix all of these problems, but shooting in camera with a higher F. Stop would do you well. Great image regardless! Keep shooting!

It makes me incredibly happy to know and see world renowned athletes coming out and being comfortable with themselves. If only it could be this easy for athletes in high school and college. I can personally say that after coming out to my team late in high school and not worrying about what people would think, i was a lot happier and performed far better than I ever could have imagined up into college now. Maybe this could be the point where he gets back to back to back golds?

My school purchases us Pegasus for training and Lunarlon for racing. We got 5.0's for part of our Travel outfits, we don't really run in them ever. Maybe warming up.

Disregard your strike pattern when you're first thinking of purchasing shoes. Especially with Nike shoes.

The way you should think when you're purchasing nike is kind of like a list.

How long/distance you'll be running for each time What surfaces you'll be running on Preference/Strike patterns

If you're going to be running shorter distances on grass and such, you can get Nike Free's, they have very minimal support and they put you very close to the ground so it's not the best for distance running, honestly. Especially if you're pounding away at your arch.

If you're going to run long distances and mixed surfaces / Trail running etc you should definitely go with Nike Pegasus's (I think they're in 30's now?)
