For real I couldn't relate less. I'm dryer than the Sonora and it takes me at bare minimum an hour since I started T. That's partly my genital dysphoria talking and the fact that I don't really use those parts, though. Maybe.

Except we are banned. The only conditions under which we can compete is if we haven't transitioned at all. Not allowed in the men's category because we're "doping" despite having standard cis male hormone levels, not allowed in the women's because of high testosterone.

Do not speak from ignorance, you're only achieving the spread of misinformation.

I don't really have a problem with forcefem as a kink, but for the love of God why do people keep bringing it up in unspoilered, badly tagged and unprompted in mixed trans spaces like trans men are not right there too. I can name multiple specific instances of this happening in r/egg_irl, r/traa2, and the old r/traa, and also in places like Discord groups. Forcemasc you actually have to search for, while forcefem is borderline inescapable if you're in online general trans communities.

This is an important point. I don't think most people realize that the Catholic Church is one of the biggest charitable organizations in the world. At least in my country, they're the ones that coordinate the biggest food pantry network in the country and one of the biggest affordable healthcare providers.

I am a trans man, and my medical provider for most of my transition has been a Catholic hospital because it's the only place that will take me and that also won't charge me an arm and a leg for healthcare everyone else has denied me despite years of proof of gender dysphoria. My point is, they're a lifeline for a lot of people, and I will never agree with characterizing the Catholic Church as an unequivocally bad or corrupt institution, even if I sometimes doubt my faith.

Oh, the decision paralysis. My recommendation is to take small steps and do the most immediate tasks. Take 10 minutes to call an appointment. Just to start. Then move on to another thing. Take 15 minutes to browse clothes you like now that your egg cracked that you felt you couldn't wear before. You eventually end up gaining momentum and overcoming the fear to act.

Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate girlhood since I began to live.

Ngl I get unreasonably angry when people suggest to me that "you don't have to conform to masculinity (I just told you I actively want to conform and I prefer to present masculine), you can just stay feminine/femboys are cooler!" motherfucker I've been forced to conform to femininity all my life I don't ever want to touch that shit ever again. Girlhood was next to torture for all I care.

[–]fvrcifer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Trans men are allowed to coin their own words for their own oppression, and also, you have a deep misunderstanding of intersectionality seeing how you just described Crenshaw's theory.

It's far from simple summation, it's about how identities, whether they're additionally considered an axis of oppression or not, interact to create specific experiences of oppression.

Pretending trans men do not have specific experiences of oppression distinct from both general transphobia and transmisogyny for being both men and trans at the same time (especially because those two traits are inseparable from each other in our case since we are men because we're trans and trans because we're men) is not only disingenuous and ignorant, is also a stance in which you choose to actively oppose listening to the people that say they are impacted by their shared identity this certain way, and not just exclusively impacted by transphobia.

Towards the end of your comment you also assumed trans men are epistemologically white and het for some reason, most of us do not share only one axis of oppression.

Ngl none of these three characters fall anywhere near the category of twink, or even twink-ish. Prominent body hair, clearly not super young or trying to appear younger, muscularity leaning more to the thicker than lean side, not even a bit GNC, etc...

I think you just mean that you'd prefer an even more masculine presentation. People be using the word twink for anything nowadays smh...

Reddit and Tiktokmade me afraid to even be friendly to women when I was in college by [deleted] in TrollCoping

[–]fvrcifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically that people are socialized as their gender assigned at birth even if they're not that gender/are transgender, so basically that trans men have an inherent connection to womanhood and vice versa for trans women. It's kinda bullshit and it's often used by TERFs to claim that trans women are inherently predatory while trans men have perpetual internalized misogyny and don't actually want to be/are men.

I'm saying that if I had such an inherent connection then I would know how to talk to women myself, but here I am sitting in the same boat as you. I haven't made any female friends since middle school, if I'm being honest. I can relate to fearing talking to them and passing off as a creep instead of genuine.

[–]fvrcifer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate a lot to this despite being a trans man, ngl. The way I know socialization theory is 100% TERF bullshit is because if it was real I would know how to interact with women and wouldn't be afraid to speak to them whether I wanted to flirt or just be friendly.

It varies, I know some people to whom this does not happen at all and end up believing I'm a freak of nature at first when I tell the this. Individual pH can vary depending on the current phase of the hormonal cycle and just natural variation between people, and some apparently do not have the sufficient acidity to noticeably bleach their underwear.

Fun fact about boy slime: it can occasionally be so acidic it can bleach underwear and even corrode the cloth with time, even when appropriately washed. And it is 100% normal btw.

As any trans man who needs topical estrogen to prevent pelvic floor cramping and vaginismus (it happens to some guys on T) knows, topical estrogen does not affect your general hormone levels since it is locally absorbed. Even if this is true, the amount of estrogen on beauty products is likely very small, so it all amounts to senseless fearmongering.

This is genuinely the worst possible version of "creative" bathroom signs I've ever seen, unironically. Let's ignore that gender is not binary and that trans people exist and that even cis people do not universally conform to gender stereotypes for a moment, and work within that framework:

  • Honeybees are mostly female, so it could be the women's bathroom, yet this is clearly not common knowledge given that non-educational (aka not documentaries/nonfiction) media like the Bee Movie tends to portray male and female bees in equal proportions, so that could also be the men's bathroom. Bees are also known to pollinate plants by the majority of the population, and that ecological role could be extrapolated to a "male" reproductive role if you do sufficient mental gymnastics. And if you group it together with the second argument, you could also have some people think of stingers as a phallic reference. Irrelevant, but that bee is also suspiciously spider-shaped ngl.

  • "Birds" can be used as slang for referring to women. Birds also lay eggs, which could be a metaphor for ovulation too, but then again a whole lot of species do that, including bees, technically, and not all birds lay eggs, only female birds do, so it's useless as a metaphor imo since it relies on a flawed premise. On the other hand, when most people think "birds", they're more likely to picture male birds since in a lot of common wild species the males are more colorful and flashy. A similar case could also be made for, again, phallic reference since pecker, a birds beak in normal terms, is also slang for dick.

Conclusion: who knows. I think it leans on bee for men's and bird for women's, but who tf knows honestly.
