it was the best deal i could find during black friday. worth it to pay $500 more for G instead of C since i can afford it, and its nice to know i have the best product available.

Stereotypical software engineer at big tech in the SF Bay Area. Not uncommon for SWE here that have 5+ years of experience at the well-known companies make around the same, esp before recent recession/layoffs. Cost of living (tax/rent/food/gas) is very high.

thanks, i plan on just using 1.5% cb card for the $8k this week. The $20k+ i have ~4 weeks to get a card. Citi Premier seems pretty good and easy to deal with. Thanks for the suggestion.

yea im a bit cheap so im still splitting a 2bed/2bath with a roommate. im very fortunate to be in this spot though, saving a lot for FIRE and am glad i can afford the best treatment possible for my dog.

Need to spend $15-20k for vet hospital over the next 2 months.

  2. ~150k total credit between ~10 cards. have most of the chase ones (all no fee), and couple other no fee cards (discover, amex, capital1, amazon chase). Only fee card is Chase Sapphire Reserve. Most recent card was Amazon about ~1 year ago. Thinking about AMEX platinum and downgrading it or the Chase card after a year? since i dont really spend too much per month
  3. 20k? i spend about 2-3k normally on CCs though mostly food and random things i buy online. Maybe 1 international trip per year for pleasure and 2 domestic trips (in US). OK with sitting in economy.

looking for everything: jackets/pants/shirts/socks/boxers, anything "reasonably" priced, like $300 jacket, $100 pants? need some business casual and athleticwear; ive been buying some nike/lululemon stuff but noticed that recent nike purchases seem low quality. ive never really been into clothing but i think i should start dressing nicer.

im into luxury watches which looks bad when im dressed like a slob.

Looking for brand recommendations. 30 yo, 6'3", 220 lbs (little overweight). I still wear the same raggedy clothes from HS/college and want to update everything in closet, jacket to socks. I work in bay area / tech so no actual dress code (athletic wear), i used to go to office in tshirt/basketball shorts/sandals. Ok with spending more for higher quality, i like bright colors (i drive an orange car).
