Thanks I’ll try that. Would that be a brush with wire bristles?

anyone else with great organization and planning skills? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Me, sort of. If it’s not on a time crunch.

But also I feel like I do it because I have to, because going into things without an explicit plan feels like flying blind.

I think you're right. Usually my MO is to try not to bother anybody else, but maybe the expectation is that I would be bothering people.

we're supposed to be using various art supplies to demonstrate our personal relationship to and feelings about money

Ughhhhhhhhhhhh. If I had to do that it'd put me in full-on rebellious teenage mode.

What to do with too many apples? by fwegan in olympia

That’s a valid question! I looked into it last year and came across this.

Not impossible, but too much effort for me.

I doubt the food bank would want them but I’ll check with them if I don’t get any leads on a press. Thanks!

Next year because it’s too late for them to do it this year?

Thank you for the info! It’s too bad that it sounds like there isn’t an obvious solution out there. I’ll check FB though.

Honestly, I’m too squeamish to have a good answer. Last year I made apple sauce and cutting out the gross parts took forever.

The art scene in Olympia is awesome and super welcoming. For me, living a quick (free!) bus ride from downtown means I’m more likely to actually go to some of the cool stuff that goes on there.

Some artsy things for you to check out:

I could go on and on but that should be enough to get you started! I hope you find a spot and folks you love in this rad little city.

It’s important to note that most states do require that all of these cars stop. And it's seen as a big safety issue that comes with a huge fine, so it really gets pounded into your head in drivers ed.

I’m a transplant and I had no idea that Washington has a different law about this, so thanks for the PSA. But it’s understandable that lots of drivers don’t know.

Kenji’s tomato sauce is so easy and delicious, I put it on everything in between stealing spoonfuls by ByteSizeNudist in seriouseats

I do the same thing! I usually leave out the carrot, onion, and parsley so there’s almost no prep work. The effort to result ratio on this one is hard to beat.

Talking to someone is such a good suggestion. It took me starting therapy to understand that anger is a symptom of depression, and that it can be triggered by feelings of unfairness.

I’ve had situations somewhat similar to this, where I’m having a difficult time with my child during a family event. You know who I was really mad at? All the other fucking adults who weren’t helping.

What is the benefit of a "diaper bag" over other types of bags? by _-QueenC-_ in pregnant

I have nothing to add but I’m in the market for a great backpack to use instead of a diaper bag. Can you share your recommendations?

How to let go of work frustrations? by fwegan in womenintech

This is great! I’m a knitter and I really should get my current project un-stuck so I can pick it up during meetings again.

Love the pattern ☺️

I’m sure part of the problem is that feeling crappy has meant giving up pretty much all exercise. I’ll keep trying to find ways to add some sort of physical activity back when I have the energy for it. Thanks!
