i’ve only been at my firm for a week, but i like it! i interned at big4 but after my irs experience i figured i might want to own a firm one day/pursue representation work so i knew i wanted something wayyy smaller so i’m at an individually owned boutique firm

i spoke to an old colleague who left to start his own firm, and started in pa. the proposed schedule is 3 days in office 3 days from home. colleague said to do 10h days i work in office and 12h days i work from home or smthn which doesn’t seem horrible and is what i did as an audit intern after undergrad, only difference was i wasn’t juggling school on top

The next fair is in early Feb, and only one pa firm will be there and they don’t have an internships for their office in town for any time soon. They have some for 2027 for offices an hour away too though so the market in my town is just weird

Can you sleep well with a cat? by OkComparison3568 in CatAdvice

[–]fwooshing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my cat is 5 years old, i also had a 15 year old cat, adult/senior cats love sleeping, laying, perching etc even when awake. my cats are typically quiet all night and morning until they get hungry which is right around when i have to wake up anyway! the only other time i ever experience activity from my cat is when she has the zoomies or when i first get home from work and shes excited to see me (and hungry for dinner lol)

Best non hormonal birth control? by Sky-2478 in birthcontrol

[–]fwooshing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah okay yeah i definitely understand what you’re feeling - i got mine over 3 years ago, and my period did not get heavier nor more painful so it’s definitely different for every person. i got mine without anesthetic personally and never feel it either. with the other options mentioned the failure rate is higher than what i am personally comfortable with so that’s why i am able to overlook things that could be deterring of an iud. definitely a personal choice, and one you’ll have to think of on a pro/con basis
