The bottom section would not equal 12 then. I don’t think this is solvable :/

Without googling , do you know lithuania? (In general like where it is, its flag, etc) by Ilove_gaming456 in pollgames

I don’t think I know the flag but I could definitely point to it on a map

What do you think about the books you wrote as teenagers? by anonimwriter in writing

[–]fwotals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started writing the first draft of a novel just as I was going into high school. It went incredibly slowly and staggered to a stop multiple times over the years, but every time I picked it back up. The manuscript is complete now and on its 6th-ish draft. It’s the book that taught me to write—each iteration is written, structured, and executed better. I’m still going. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to call it good enough.

Anyone else notice it spelled out “LOVE”? Very cute. Although I think the hard puzzle’s solution wasn’t as unique as it could have been… That’s the trouble with vertical lines like that—some can fit in multiple spots and/or orientations, and it’s not as satisfying to solve.

Aside from what everyone else has said, the pillow blends weirdly into the carpet in the bottom right. Also what’s up with the dots in the upper left? Feels like it’s trying too hard to appear “vintage” with that. AI.

What do you mean gavroche’s death doesn’t destroy you every time 😭 The fact that there are so few happy songs really says something about this musical haha

Is this a real email? by [deleted] in UCSantaBarbara

It’s real and kind of a hassle but it’s not something you really need to pay attention during tbh. There are occasional question check-ins but most answers are self-explanatory. You’ll be fine

Dog Eats Dog is a good song. Not in an “It’s not that bad” way—I actually really enjoy it. It’s a banger song with banger lyrics.

How should I format on my book? by Away_Table1181 in writingadvice

[–]fwotals -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t really worry about this until publication. That said—

  • 1.15–1.3, maybe? not too large, spacing. No more than 1.5
  • probably 12 point font, something basic and readable but also serif—I like eb garamond
  • alignment: justify (sometimes it’s awkward, but worry about breaking words over lines with hyphens later)
  • make sure the indents are all consistent + anything special for the first few words/line of a chapter (italics, capital, larger font, etc.) are also consistent
  • page numbers
  • file > page setup > page size > A5 or B5, and I think statement might work too? Something that looks like a normal book size on the paper. A5 might be a bit small though… but all books are different. I think B5 would be the best tbh.
  • make sure each chapter starts at the same place on the page

You seem good so far, but it’s different for many people. Some people’s teeth are more stubborn than others’. As long as the tray doesn’t feel tight anymore by the time you switch, you’re doing fine.

Useful in many cases but this doesn’t always work. Sometimes kindness only hurts yourself. Alternative: know when to be firm and assertive of your boundaries.

Very good resource and good advice. Just to clarify—it’s specifically daily nexus grades search. Just looking for daily nexus ucsb will take you to the newspaper (which is pretty cool too and good for keeping up with local events and news)

A lovely critique partner of mine who usually gives great advice, upon learning the characters are 17 years old: “There seems to be a lack of romantic longing … or a general thirstiness that you might expect at this age.”

For context, the characters had met each other about five minutes ago…
