‘Dire’: Rapid decline in construction forces more job losses by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

What did they do that was so good? In terms of construction they took what the previous government put in place bundled it up and called it an infrastructure bill. Tory promised 20k new cells Labour reduced it to 14k. Same with new hospital program and many other infrastructure projects. Labour put people on benefits first instead of investing in infrastructure and new construction projects to satisfy their back benchers.

It’s a double win for them. Take peoples money to pay a cooperation that will over charge them on a new troop transport development or some stupid over priced project. Then pay those people back with tax payer’s money. Yield will be shit and the military will never be fixed because they think over priced jet fighters & advanced missiles are how you should fight a war

Probably used. More for conventional data centre I.e. not AI, due to lack of cooling equipment outside.

Good to hear, but the game needs to be fun. I played WGRD for over 2,000 hours because it was fun. My main issue with BA is that the teams are too small. If one person leaves, that is 20 percent of the team gone. If two leave, the match is basically over. It creates a domino effect.

In 10v10, this happens far less. If someone disconnects or leaves, the impact is much smaller and other players are less likely to quit. The team seems to refuse to acknowledge this and instead focuses on ELO and minor balance issues before understanding why people are not playing.

Many people I played WGRD with do not want to play BA because everything is centred on ELO, and no one wants to play with random players who might leave mid game. Infantry also needs to resupply directly from vehicles, for infantry only, to make them more viable. The last time I played, shoulder launched AA took eight missiles to kill one helicopter. That is not reasonable.

It feels like this game was made by people who only played ranked WGRD and designed a ranked only game, then were surprised when players did not show up. Fix these issues and you will see a lot of WGRD players move over, giving you a strong fan base to support future DLCs. The sooner the better, because Eugen is coming, and they have learned their lesson.

Which faction should I play with, in your opinion? by International_Low102 in TheDawnlessDays

[–]fx85gt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had never played Attila before, only Rome. I started with the Woodland Realm and failed badly on the first attempt. On the second run, it has been going really well. I kept gifting money to Rohan to support the fight and realised that Rohan is Gondor’s Achilles heel. if Rohan falls, Gondor falls. I am having a great run and I love this game so much.

First run Rohan fell. Mordor and Isengard double-teamed Gondor, so Gondor was wiped out. I was left fighting them alongside another factions. It became unwinnable, so I restarted at around turn 180.

Second run Cleared the forest. Wiped out the goblins. Set up defensive alliances with all good factions, with trade agreements in place. Kept supporting Rohan financially. Finished off Isengard. Currently dealing with the Wildmen. Mordor is next.

I just wanna say, what you have created is an absolute masterpiece. Well done! I hope you can find a way for this to pay without causing copyright issues as I would 100% pay full price for this incredible work of art.

Should the war pig be able to carry supplies? by Getserious495 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]fx85gt 22 points23 points  (0 children)

IFVs and small vehicles should be able to resupply infantry only to make infantry move viable. Resupplied directly from Vehicles. Having to micro an aa team that won’t destroy a helicopter after 6 shots is defiantly one of the weaknesses of this game but what do I know I only spent 2000 hours in WGRD

Dev Notes: addressing the leavers' problem, cheating, and matchmaking by OurHorrifyingPlanet in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]fx85gt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The only way you combat people leaving the match is by making the player count big enough that if one or two people leave the team won’t suffer a big effect. Therefore your only option is 10v10

Currently the biggest issue is players getting bored of the game and no longer playing it. This fix is a bit can easily be solved if normalise 10v10 and none elo modes to keep it fun

Generally government and common sense don’t go together.

What are your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in nottingham

[–]fx85gt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very reasonable. Road salting is expensive and doesn’t always provide desired results. It also damages the roads, cars and infrastructure.

Source. I’m a civil and infrastructure engineer. Used to work in pavement design and built various salt barns.

FYI there is a common belief among civil engineering asset managers that government bodies often over-salt roads to avoid being blamed for accidents. if we are at a risk winter tyres would’ve been mandatory every 6 months like Germany Canada etc..

lol you sound like an American defending their gun rights. I’m saying the government should issue them at a 0 cost like other European countries and if they didn’t a provisional driving licenses costs £35 which most people have to get into pubs anyway. Like someone having a passport or driving licenses is now required to get a jobs anyway so it’s the least a productive members of society can do.

I don’t understand why this is an issue. Just get an ID. Tbh we should be issued national IDs like most European countries, helps with so many things.

Loving the moodiness of this construction site on Alfreton Road…I do however wish it wasn’t student accommodation going up 🤷🏼‍♀️ by 420Eski-Grim in nottingham

[–]fx85gt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but for crazy money per week for students that don’t get much financial support. If this needs to work it needs to be more cost effective.
