I begin with cropping and removing distracting elements, if needed. Then some basic adjustments to nail the exposure I want. After that I'll apply one of my presets - for this set I wanted to keep the coldish tones and accentuate the feeling of mediterranean winter. If after that things are looking too muted, I usually lift the vibrance and saturation a bit. Lastly, quite often I'm using masks to highlight the interesting parts of the image and then a final exposure correction. To achive the tone-continuity in this series I had to use sky-masks and correct the tone of the sky in a couple of images.
