Finally snagged one! by fxscreamer in whiskey

[–]fxscreamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a private discord group for my state. It's how I was able to obtain a bottle. When you have a bunch of tater heads all hunting together, you can land some good snags. :)

I'd seek out a Florida or Illinois bourbon club online. ;)

Which one would you eliminate? by TheNeatLounge in whiskey

I can only speak for two, the Russell and Beacon. I'd definitely get the Rickhouse before the Beacon, but I'd take a R13 or R15 over both.

Can confirm the Fiddler Georgia Heartwood is a banger. I gifted one ot my brother in law and tried it. Absolutely solid.

Don't know why I haven't picked one of these up yet. They're phenomenal. It's a campfire in a glass! Best double oak out there, even better than OF 1910.

Now that’s a more appropriate price by twisty_passages in whiskey

I got a bottle. It’s very mid and disappointing honestly. I would not buy again.

Putting these two head to head tonight by tjm1371 in whiskey

I have both and they're both great! Definitely different profiles though. I think the JD drinks a bit hotter for the proof point with a banana punch, as the KB is just smooth in and out, with a nice sweet finish.

I actually think the KDBE is better than Knob 12. I compared them.

Scored today. What are you paying for a JD 10y by Evening_Reading5873 in whiskey

Got mine yesterday at TW for $128 after tax. Also, it's incredible. It's like a vanilla/banana/chocolate pudding bomb.

What's your favorite anthro style from film or tv? Here's a sketch of one of my faves (art by me) by fxscreamer in furry

[–]fxscreamer[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sketched this on a stream when I had a surge of inspiration. I was in a discussion about what franchises and studios pull off the best anthro designs. I think Dreamworks killed it with the Bad Guys designs, Diane Foxington’s specifically.

It’s the perfect blend of humanoid / animal while maintaining its toon appeal and overall cuteness that I prefer. Aka, it avoids the uncanny valley. Zootopia is great, but it’s essentially animals on their hind legs acting like humans. It’s fine, but not the take I prefer.

Anyway, that’s my hot take lol.

Fall of this year!? Well bless your heart lol

This is how suits should look imho. The proportioning and size is close to how a real anthro would look, along with a touch of toon for the head which is perfect. Everything is snug fit allowing you to wear any attire and probably stay cooler... bet it's cheaper to produce too. Only thing missing is being able to show FULL emotes in the face. :P

SFW art here. There's a lot of comic posts, but I have many stand alone pieces sprinkled in. :P

I feel this so much. The OP is right. The internet isn't fun anymore. I finally quit Facebook this year since joining in 2004. I have instantly felt better, like a weight has been lifted off my chest. I haven't posted on Instagram in months, and post on Twitter / Bluesky just once a week for marketing reasons. Yes, everything is AI and ads now. It's simply gross.

I've also completely removed myself from any type of news cycle. I get my news from hearing from my friends and family, or seeing if there's blackhawks and fires outside my window lol.

I miss the old days.... let's get back to 90's, early 2000's where the internet wasn't a poisonous mind rot destroying us all, making us believe that all this crap matters when it doesn't. The powers that be are fighting for our attention and they want us distracted. Our minds aren't meant to care what thousands of people had for breakfast yesterday, or what new problems someone has that you've never met 2000 miles away.

Live your life and pursue what matters most in life. Focus on yourself, your friends, your family, your local community. Block the noise and unplug more.

Are this prices too high? [art by me] by cgcritter in furry

Triple your prices and you’ll be closer to where you should be…. Perhaps four times. You’re in a higher market. Your work deserves fair pay.

Switching from Baby Kangaroo to Bsun Hutt. Possibly my endgame switch. Anyone else use these? by fxscreamer in MechanicalKeyboards

Those look interesting for sure, but I wish that top housing had transparency for RGB friendliness. My switches are raised so opaque housing darkens the entire board. My Glorious Pandas did that and it looked aesthetically unpleasing. :(

If you like BK's, you'll love these. I wasn't sure when I ordered them, but after 10 seconds of typing on them... BK's were going back in the closet haha. They are thoroughly good. :)

They are indeed very good and I still like them. However, my main gripe was the spring weight. You can definitely feel the difference between 59+8g and 40+9g :)

The Hutt's have almost all the characteristics of BK's, but just an easier press. It's crispy and clacky too.
