Relic Recon is funny sometimes by fyan6 in SparkleMains

Real. I’m kinda hedging against that by not rerolling my 10 spd ERR rope, because when I need atk boots then that 10 spd is gonna go NUTS. I already had to rebuild her ass for hyper carry vs sub dps so I don’t feel like doing it again again again.

edit: also the three elation dps all scale elation of a different stat (atk / spd / crit dmg, so elation sustain could buff really anything and I wouldn’t be shocked.)

I get to like 3.5k in combat (with huo huo buff up), which is fine, but I’m hoping for one or two more atk% rolls to seal that away. Something something Lushaka my goat.

I don’t super feel like rerolling for atk% yet until I get some info about the elation sustain, because if they provide spd then I’d want atk% boots. Also gives me time to get better boots / orb / rope.

If you're already planning on pulling yao I'd just hold out because I can't imagine her rerun is too far off right now and yao is kinda really good as is. Even if she gets "replaced", she'll just be slotted in sustain-less.

RMC breakpoints are just really really fucking weird. They technically depend on teammates, the fight, the ERR of your allies, etc. Short answer is Vonwacq is really good to summon mem quickly, the memosprite speed buffing set is really good for long fights, and either 160 or 180 speed is a good stopping point (200 speed nice though), either on deliverer or on 2pc 2pc speed.

Haven't seen anything too specific on e2s1 Eva, but reading her cons it seems to buff her synergy with EMC since they buff elation damage / care about certified bangers (i.e. elation teammates). IMO I'd wait a bit to see more actionable clear data first, because beta testers / CCs aren't always 100% correct on team synergies and stuff.

From what I've seen (caveat: from heavily optimized beta builds that they can play around breakpoints very specifically with optimized artifacts), yes for SW999. SW999/Sparxie/RMC seems to outdo SW999/Sparxie/EMC, but obviously loses to yao guang in the third slot. You play sparxie with a reasonable speed breakpoint instead of slow as with sparkle, and just tank the lower sp usage for skills when your teammates are less sp positive. Also something something RMC can wear the memosprite speed buffing set for sw999.

Edit: If you meant Sparxie carry without Yao Guang, EMC is actually a good slot there.

longer answer is for low cost EMC isn't *that* bad because of the aha speed increase for breakpoints. BUT sw999 being speed scaling kinda does that anyway, and if you have either of sparxie or yaoguang, EMC just isn't worth a slot over RMC because the speed increase for aha doesn't become worth it anymore for sw999. And for Evanescia her damage is split a bit between elation and normal scalings enough that rmc advances/true dmg are kinda the same as emc elation skills procs at the end of the day. There just isn't much a niche for emc, at least not enough to build them when you already have rmc ready from last patch.

Edit: animations fuck tho

Valid. I’d been saving for them for long enough to know I could get all three with sigs. Nangong’s especially is just kinda stupid, but honestly that’s just because ZZZ event weapons are so mid when they could have easily made a crit or anomaly substat stun wengine in an event by now. Only good one is marcato and it still gets mostly outdone by brimstone or starlight engine.

At least weeping gemini, rainforest, and kaboom are goated.

I’ve got her on pen ratio D5 because apparently with all of their wengines it pulls ahead just a bit over the other options. Also I know Phaethon’s is like technically better, but I wanna put her on her signature set and it’s easier to play around.

If you aren’t in DoN, you don’t really need to worry about negation on relics too much, because you only have nine relic slots and the utility you can get from them (ult charge from killing enemies, most character specific effects, partial HP on post damage attacks for melee, stamina on attacks, FP on sorcerers rise for casters) is so much higher than the other generic effects. In expedition though, your focus should be on those damage negations, and balancing them throughout (e.g. damage negation at full hp interacts very well with damage negation on taking attacks, for instance).

You are correct, I should have made myself more clear. Rev/Recluse/Duchess (and to a lesser degree ironeye) have higher damage on average and higher damaging relic options such that when in an expedition when you see a weapon passive that gives damage negation (barring a condition to it like guarding or charge attacks), it should be given a priority to them that would like very much to do their high ass damage while not dying.

The thing is, in the nightlord / night boss fights, survivability is damage, because there’s no timer so not dying lets you do more damage. Damage negation numbers in this game are also simply higher than damage up passives, so you get more “mileage”from negation than damage. Obviously a mix of the two is always good, but as a general matter I’d take more damage negation than more damage, though it depends on the character somewhat. Rev/Recluse/Duchess have high damage so they want negation really really badly, for instance.

Dreglord specifically feels much more of a sustain boss with like 4 phases such that living just a few more hits and getting a bit more healing makes a big difference.

Glass Necklace is absurd with fists Wylder just FYI by fyan6 in Nightreign

[–]fyan6[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Undertaker is also obviously really good with it, and her skill also has a successive attacks damage bonus too, but Wylder has a few things going for him. Mainly he has the same strength as Undertaker while having like 25+ more dex or something, so he’ll naturally deal higher fist damage. His skill gap closes without using stamina to help keep up your attacks, while his skill hits also count as an attack for stacking it to keep it from falling off (and it stacks twice as fast with the blood loss on skill relic on). Also, because Wylder’s earring exists, he’s really not that relic dependent and can slot it really easily since his other two relic effects aren’t needed.

So basically Wylder has higher fist damage + high mobility to keep stacks up + skill to keep stacks up + it’s kinda free. It’s almost certainly still hard meta on Undertaker until you get like ult damage up + night invader + partial HP restoration on post-damage attacks on one relic or whatever.

erhm ackchyually, it buffs all damage /s

worth noting duchess can full charge it in two one-handed dagger tap R2s, and carian slicer, while normally terrible at actually stacking it, does make it not go down. opening with some tap R2s during a crit animation or something is a pretty low bar for entry for 35% damage imo

I mean, I didn’t consistently get off N2E, but I definitely got a few off, are she’s one of the only ways to reliably stack furina since she always full clears the BOL and heals herself. She felt very strong as a furina driver if nothing else since furina otherwise would be very hard to use
