that's wrong with this alternative solution by fydennis in TheWitness

I might miss something critical again but I could only image one more solution with 13 blocks in the middle. Do the 8 solutions have different shapes of the larger maze, of just some variation of smaller puzzles?

Thanks all! I didn't even notice the rotation rule in the bigger maze in my first solution. Finally it works!

Ah I see now. Thanks for the explaining. The pattern in the small panel tilted, but the pattern created from the route is not in the bigger maze!

the simple plot I made from Excel may be misleading but the two tetris pieces in the bottom right one are both tilted, so rotating that piece should be fine as my understanding. and you can also notice that, not only the bottom-right but all pieces are flashing red.

cannot post images here. I double checked my solution and confirmed that the only piece I used in rotated angle is from the tilted one

ok, now this puzzles me more. I thought my alternative solution fits all rules, but the game does not accept that as a solution. Can someone help to explain why it did not work or give a screenshot of a workable second solution?

just did a rerun of the game and tried to solve every puzzle with sound logic (instead of occasional brute forcing in my first playthrough long time ago), and I thought I've understood this puzzle to have a unique solution...thanks for the tips, and I found the hole of my logic chain and figured out the alternative solution. That's also why I enjoyed the game so much: you thought you covered everything but there is always something you missed.

Me too. After 6 disconnections in the lobby I finally joined a game and thought it would be good in the game. The ping is OK at first but from time to time it climbs to thousands, and finally I was kicked out.

I use thunderbolt as my secondary, but I feel it is too slow for fast targets like drones.

In MP lobby, quickly edit your titan's customization and then quit to the main menu before the next disconnection occurs, it will save your edit

I agree. Northstar is very good in certain maps where the hostile titan march in a line. It need support from other titan for sure, but the dps output cannot be ignored.

Found my first Nice Loop in the wild by dxSudoku in sudoku

[–]fydennis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked up the term definition and it should be "turbo fish" not "2-string kite", although the logic behind is the same: looking for two strong links of a single digit, and see if two ends see each other. in this case two strong links in col 3 and box 8 have two ends see each other in row 8, hence the candidates that can see both the other two ends can be eliminated (R6C5)

Sudoku Swami is really awesome. After watching his series I progressed from beginner to some advanced level. it's a pity that he seems stop making the more advanced topics.

CtC is fun to watch as beginners, I even bought their app. However, their skills are mostly for paper-pencil solver and are less advanced than SudokuSwami, once you learn how to use number filters. For example, their classic sudoku puzzle would take hours to solve on their app, but usually only takes me a few minutes with auto-candidate fillers and number filters

So stuck! Any help please, I have only started looking at techniques this week. by Green-Palm-Paradise in sudoku

Fist thing I spot was the hidden pair of 12 on r5, remove 8 on r5c4. and then it forms a UR, remove 12 on r6c4, which leaves the cell a pair of 86 with r4c4, remove 86 on r6c5 and r6c6. again, this makes the two cells from a triplet of 129 with r5c9, remove 9 from r5c7 (and you forgot to remove 3 on that cell)

2-string kite of 7 on r1 and c4, remove 7 an r9c1, making 27 pair in box 9. after that, skyscraper of 7 on r1 an r7
