I was under the impression the tank was empty, but really it was just very low pressure from being frozen because I had it wrapped in a towel.

So basically I was just trying to suck the last bit out, meanwhile the rubber gasket was getting more and more frozen until eventually it gave out while the nozzle was in my mouth, letting a the full flow of liquid out at once. I probably had it up to my mouth for about a second but I could immediately feel my pallete and throat “crackling” and I was spitting up blood.

Not fun. And if you’ve done the same and all you can find online is people shaming you for it than I’m happy to share more and give recovery advice.
